That pic is of me playing CAV Scout. Of all the guys in that pic only 2 are Scouts. The rest where CAV Tankers like me getting some cross training in.

At the time All I has was a crappy 110 camera. I also never thought to have pics of me taken. I was to busy taking pics especially in Germany.

Since this was pre digital and you could not see the pics until I finally got this one back from the developer my buddy on the far left hated this pic. While we are looking all badass he has his chipmunk smile going.

HAPPY VETS DAY

I work with many vets, and am very thankful that they are American and Veterans.
Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity.
The shooter will always matter more than the gear ever will.
Stop relying on others to do the work for you.
Shoot more, worry less.

That is one of the Scouts, but since he has a loaded belt fed machine gun I think he can put his finger anywhere he wants it.

Much better gear then what the Scouts had back then. Hell we still had a Dragon team per platoon. 4 tube TOW units where being mounted on M113's but they where few and far between and only the 11 CAV Fulda gap head in any real amount.

That particular mission they weren't any better geared. They were our security on an LP/OP while we set up radar, and they did old school scouting with binos and radios.

Well that's why we have scouts. Sometimes you just need eyeballs on something.

A rusted out Trabant with a can of fuel oil burning in the trunk fools all the hi tech crap every time.
