As close as we can get it. Molded in color versus coating will never be better then 80% match. Just how color works.

I need to make it clear we cannot take possession of your slide/slide cover and paint it for the following reasons:

1. The condition of a customer's slide/slide cover would be a gamble
2. Logistically would a pain because they're not done in house
3. Having to keep track of one's slide is a bit much for us to ask of our contractor
4. There would be no financial befit for the customer as most of the cost goes for the labor of the paint job

Images of specific colors on this web site are for general reference only. Since computer monitor colors vary and the user can also adjust the computer monitor to their preferences the images you see will not necessarily match the corresponding color.

Those are some very nice looking covers... any chance you can post a picture of a complete pistol so we can see the full effect?

We are working on getting our guy up here to the shop within the next couple of weeks to do a photo shoot.

It's been hard trying to coordinate as he has a full time job during the week and the next few weekend are tied to b-day parties and holidays.

But we are narrowing down a good time within the next couple of weeks to have him come up.

Is it possible to buy a slide cover with a fixed sights option?

I have a 5-7 with adjustable sights, I want to be able to change the slide to fixed sights for cary..

Just to make sure we are all talking about the same thing. The fixed sight model of the FsN has fixed sights that are part of the slide. You would need to change the sights on the gun also.

Now there are older tactical covers that have fixed sights molded into and dovetailed into them.
Below is a fixed sight slide.

This is the older style cover you can only get by accident from FnH's parts department. For a while when you ordered the above cover for fixed sights they screwed up and sent these out. They have corrected that mistake.

That's always been an issue with FNH. As anyone else here who has tried to order parts has found out. I would like to start making my own slide covers but I don't have the capital right now to invest in the machine.

Agreed. Parts from FnH ... anyone ever watch whiskey age? Ring up Browning for FN parts, place an order, and wait ... like watching whiskey age.

So when the opportunity presents itself, invest in parts!

fd57: You are merely one (1) of many, countless "hoarders" who have have solidified the problem with simply ordering 1 or 2 "needed" parts for our FsN's from the parts and distribution department. Thank you all for you continued paranoia.

fntech1 -

When speculating it's always wise to consider the other side ... such as:

- Maybe they're an armorer/gunsmith
or
- Maybe they're supporting more than one firearm

We'll give you a hint, it is at least one of the above :)

And NONE of the parts were ordered from Browning/FnH, just FYI.

I have been looking over Elite Ammunitions page now for some time. I recently did get a FN 5.7 pistol and very quickly ordered every type of Ammo that Elite carries. Along with some recent orders of additional equipment.
I am looking forward to seeing how these slide covers look when assembled.

Look forward to seeing these pictures!!!

I believe that we are all looking forward to seeing them on the weapons. They do look good all by them selfs but it would be nice to see them all together.

Soon we are trying to simplify the order process and the manufacturing process.
