bout some of these off EA, finally got around to loading 2 up in .223 just to see them in action..... didnt see any tracer from them, wasnt sure if any one bought them and had good luck maybe i got a bad batch? or maybe im loading them wrong? 23gr of imr 4064, oal 2.260''

its my first time loading a tracer round wasnt sure if there wasnt something i missed?

What range were you shooting them at, and in what lighting condition?

What power and charge? I ran a good 200 of them through our test AR for giggles and only had a few that didnot light.

shoot in woods at friends place, mid morning sun wasnt out quite yet, 23 gr of imr 4064, loaded only 2 just to try out, wanted to kno if i was doing anything differ before i load all of them since its first tracer rounds ive loaded

the trick to get the Military tracer to light is simple. Take a pin and poke the fold in the back of the bullet. Also got to use hot burning powder like H335 (24.5gr) and you will see a 75% burning rate.

Unfortunately poking holes in the seal is not practical besides the time involved you now have the issue of the tracer compound chemicaly reacting with the gun powder.

Plus the tracer binding compound is VERY carcinogenic

BVAC's are just plain hard to light sometimes. Also ambient temperature comes into play. The current tracers EA use light 9 out 10 from the pistol at 70 degrees but at 29 degrees the same lot of tracer rounds lit 1 out of 10.

I always wear rubber gloves when reloading ammo, but good know about chemical reaction to the powder.
