Rare shotgun ammo?

Post by eagleshotz » 08 Jan 2010, 14:47

Can someone please help me here. Several years ago I went to a gun show and came upon a seller saying this was actual ammo law enforcement was using at the time. I still am so imagine several years ago I was a noob with ammo but decided to buy one box anyways. I say it cost me $4.00 bucks at that time. I have tried looking for this ammo but get no results except when I go to federals website but says this ammo is strictly for leo. Did I score a nice collectable ammo for my collection? Awhile back I also thought I got lucky on some ammo cans thinking they were rare but Slippy said they were very common.:?:

Thanks Fuzzy and Slippy. One last question. Ammuntion to go box # says LEB127RS and says 1300 fps while my box says LEF127RS with 1600 fps. Could my box maybe be a earlier version which they dont make anymore making it more rare? :ponder:

Looks like a Hyrdra-Shok rifled slug. I have a case of those. Mine say LEF127 RS on the box and state a velocity of 1610 FPS. These are the FULL POWER slugs. The slugs that the link above take you to are REDUCED RECOIL.

The only thing that might make these "RARE" is the fact that they are LE only and can't be found everywhere. They are still currently sold to LE as far as I know.

Thank you Vortec MAX. Mine does say 1610 as well. As far as Fuzzy...

PLUTONIUM ROUNDS?!

However, I call shenanigans. One, because "+P+ Nuclear Ammunition" would melt my polymer frame, and two because "u238" refers to Uranium, rather than Plutonium. Contradictory title. Unless...it's a super mega fission alloy? Finally, we won't be compared to .22 Magnums!
