Has to be the AR. Owned most on that list and I always keep coming back.

Re: Favorite Black Rifle
I love all my guns, but this one is by far my favorite black rifle. I think we need a sticky thread of pure unadulterated gun porn... mods what say you???

Re: Favorite Black Rifle
I liked my PS90. Couldn't find ammo and the trigger was a bit sloppy.
I liked my FS2000. Hated the trigger.
I REALLY liked the Sig 556. The weight got tiresome after a bit.
I REALLY liked the Colt M4. No complaints at all.
I loved the SCAR, but never actually owned one, had to covet a friends rifle so I can't base a true opinion based on ownership, only desire.
I truly LOVED the Sig 552, but they are LE/Mil only and since I can't legally own one...
Had lots of fun shooting the MP5 but I wouldn't spend the money it would take to own a FA model.
Loved wasting out of date ammo through the department's P90 when we had it, but again, would it be worth it?
So...if I had the money to spend?
I'd go with the SCAR-16 (slightly less expensive ammo) and an ACOG TRI-TA01A. If I had money to burn and unlimited source of ammo, I'd get the SCAR-17 and an ACOG TRI-TA01B.
If I won the lotto, I'd get both!

Uhh, no. But after a couple of decades of thinking I was 10 foot tall and bullet proof when I really wasn't, my body is eat up with arthritis and I'm not as spry as I used to be. So for long term carrying, I like to go as light as I can for the same performance.PGT wrote:my wife asked if you're name was "sally"Cyberfly wrote: I REALLY liked the Sig 556. Re: Favorite Black Rifle
Right now it's the one on the right. Probably just because it's the newest and it's a .308. It's a hard choice.
It's kind of like my favorite movie, it's usually the last one I watched. My favorite rifle is usually the last one I shot whether it's sig, ar, bullpup, m1a, rem700, or ak.

I have to go with the Mk18, known to civies as the HK 416. Best weapon system on the planet.

Had to vote for the AK!
Re: Favorite Black Rifle
Dunno what my favorite is, but AK's have got to be my least favorite black rifle...

Guns on the ceiling? Madness!
If a man dedicates his life to good deeds and the welfare of others, He will die unthanked and unremembered. If he exercises his genius bringing death and misery to billions, his name will echo down through the millennia for a hundred lifetimes.

Re: Favorite Black Rifle
So I'm an old man--sorry. The very first year they came out I begged Santa (and my beautiful wife purchased) a Browning Stainless Stalker in 7 Mag. Took this baby on several hunts to Maine and tramped through the PA brush to produce plenty of venison stew. Bolts were all wood, and I thought this would never catch on-reminded everyone of Nam. Just a fad but I had to have it. Now they cost half as much (inflation didn't happen here) and a wooden stock is now the anomaly. Who could have guessed?

Seems simple enough to me - anything not on the list to choose from. Like maybe a Keltec RFB?KiloTrooper wrote:Wondering what the NOT LISTED ABOVE would be?

Re: Favorite Black Rifle
Nice try G24. This will be an all German MP5 once it's done. Barrel is in pristine shape and the internals are all but brand new from the looks of it. I'll post some picks as soon as I get it back.
