Looking to get into a FAL

Post by Boxing Buffalo » 28 Oct 2008, 15:42

I wish I had the coin for a FN but that is a bit out of my range for what I'm willing to spend.

I'm around the $1000 price range. I was going to get a PS90 next but I think I'd get more use out of a FAL. Is there a decent and reliable FAL for around $1000?

Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent brand/model to check out?

I see the Century Arms FAL all day long under $1k but haven't found much info on folks with trigger time. Just the regular peanut gallery of haters that have never fired the thing, but have all kinds of opinions.

Oh, and from I understand, I want to stay away from Hesse, and I don't want the "inches" model. I want metric and I want Imbel.

Wow sounds like people are really into the DSarms FAL's. Thanks for the heads up!

DSA is nice, but if you want an original style STG58 (What the FAL was first called) you can't go wrong here.

My buddy who's opinion I trust 100% said his DSA SA58 is the one to get. So, I'm reading on both that one and the STG58. I've got a couple months. :)
