New Fusion on the way

Post by Red » 05 Jul 2009, 17:23

I am a 1911's fiend. Back in February I ordered a couple of 1911's from Fusion Firearms. The first one is on it's way.

Here are a few pics that Bob Serva was kind enough to send to me to get my heart jumping. Can't wait till it's here so I can get it dirty with some .45 ammo.

Just looked at their site. They have some nice looking guns - although a little pricey :(
And you ordered a couple of them? (need a green w/envy smilie)

Shot enough to refrain from extreme comments. What is the story on those sights? Never dealt with them before. No agency I ever saw has them.

One for each hand. I completely understand. I mean a hand without a gun is just a... well... a hand.

Nice pistol.

What's the update from the firing line? How are the groups?

Sorry, haven't been a round in a while. First time out ran 250 rounds through it. The gun was extremely accurate with absolutely no failures.

I did have a problem with the ambi safety being installed a little too closely on the right hand side, and it scratched through the Ion Bond on the slide. It is back up to Fusion having the Ion Bond on the slide redone and adjustments on the safety to make sure it does not happen again.

In the meanwhile, the second Fusion has landed. It is a 9mm, and groupings are excellent. Only 1 FTE in the first 750 rounds.

Here is the 9mm Stainless.
