H&K USP .40 Question (Variant 7 to 1 change.)

Post by drivesector » 01 Jul 2009, 17:43

Does anyone know how much of a job it is to convert a H&K USP .40 from Variant 7 to Variant 1? If any one of you have done this please let me know. I am thinking of buying a used USP .40 that has Variant 7 but I want a Variant 1. Being in Massachusetts without the option of buying these new and very rarely seeing one used I am going to get it.

I have the USP 9 and the USP .45 Full size, The .40 USP compact. The new (Used) USP .40 Full size would complete my set of full size USP's
Thanks

Thanks for all who looked. I noticed no answers so I made some phone calls. Found a gun shop in NH that reccomended a gunsmith that is a HK guy. I also got a responce from HK customer servace saying that if I want the change to send it in and they will do it also. Problem at least for me is sending it UPS is so friggin expencive!!!
