I can't believe that they'd take ANY risks if they suspected problems. :skep:

Neither can I Fly. The fact that they knew there was a problem and didn't take serious action is very strange. I wouldn't be surprised if they assumed it was caused by limp-wristing the Glock. Now it may have been the cause of an LEO being seriously injured and opens them up to a mountain of liability.

Although I went a few times to the Glock LE armorers course, I never heard about anything like this. Then, two yrs ago, at the Nat'l FOP Conf, AZ told us they had bigtime issues with all 45 cal Glocks. Now it is in 40 SW. These issues are not acceptable and hopefully Glock will address the problems immediately. Civies shoot every so often and don't see trouble. Cops qualify 4 times yearly and the guns get snow, sweat, dirt, and are supposed to function. Anything less is not tolerable.

When I went through the Glock armorers course about 3 years ago, they said the problem with the G21s was that when a light was mounted, the frame did not flex as much causing feeding problems. The fix was a mag spring that was 2 coils longer. I wonder if this is the same? Do the Milwaukee Officers carry their's with a light mounted?

I would suspect the ammo before I suspect the Glock of being the problem.

Maybe the mags are a problem because they are fully loaded for extended periods of time?

I still have 110% confidence in a glock, over ANY other pistol.
I have even found revolvers, for CCW, to be faulty.... due to my pocket lint clogging the hammer......

Nothing is full proof. Use the best quality AMERICAN ammo with OEM magazines and everything should be fine, I hope.!!!!

My buddy is a cop and his issued gun is a glock 22. We took it to the range and not a single one of his issued mags would shoot the entire mag without a problem. I didn't feel like having him killed on duty so I gave him some of min until they issued him new ones.....

My buddy recently became a cop for MPD district 1, he told me no one he knows has a light mounted on their Glocks.

SLOW DOWN! Step back and look at the problem: Stovepipe. I'm no armorer, but the round fed, so it's not the magazine. The round fired, so it's not the ammo (or at least the primer and charge). The shell came out of the chamber and then... wait for it... didn't eject. Ejector problem? Wear, grit, or both? I'd start there, then suspect short loads. I'm no fan of glocks, and have seen stovepipes in many guns. LE peobably isn't carrying reloads, so it's not worn brass. LE shoot a lot, but usually the same kind of ammo every time. I'm always shooting different stuff, seeing a lot more different behavior than I'd guess LE would. My .02.

Your probaly right about stovepipe in the one incident. The rest according to the article were involving the magazines.
