picked up a kimber eclipse custom ii a few weeks back and was wondering what springs (lb wise) i should get? of course, i plan to be using some of my EA 10mm stash as defense rounds, not watered down off the shelf stuff.

20-24lb

or just sell it because it'll inevitably jam because it's a kimber :D

unless it's an old one.

I hope it runs well, it might work flawlessly!

But yeah, with anything over 180PF, I would use 22lb springs to 24 lb springs if you get over 200PF. (PF = (bullet weight (grains) x velocity (fps))/100)

I always try to use flatwire springs, but I'm not sure they have them for 1911's... someone might.

1911's have plenty of room for their recoil spring they don't need flat springs.

Visit the Wolff website and look at 1911 springs. They offer a spring kit with varying weights. Might help you to dial it in. Good luck.
