red dot sights

Post by JR3Fiver » 12 Feb 2012, 18:38

Recently got a 5.7. Love it!! Would really appreciate any guidance on optic sights. My eyes are not as good as they could be and would really like to take out that coyote at 100yds. Really wanted the Leupold Delta site. Anyone have experience with any type? Leupold says yes, FN says not advised. :)

Welcome to our forum! :)

Can you show me where FN says not advised? Maybe I can help out more, then. Some have mounted the Delta, and it seems to work for them. I'm sure they will chime in, soon.

I conversed with a gentleman about 9 months ago that Had the delta. Same situation. His eyes were not as good as they used to be when he was a young whippersnapper. I asked him a bunch of questions about the delta and everything you told me was positive. He absolutely loved the Delta with the fiveseven. Wish I could be more specific. I just remember how much he liked it. A talked a lot about the big lens on it...

Spoke with technical support at FN who stated that FN had no data on any type of optic sights and that he would defer to Leupold. Sorry for the the misquote. Would also like suggestions on laser options. Thank you guys for warm welcome!!!

The Delta Point works quite well on the FSN.

Thank you for the picture. Makes me want to get online and order one now. :) What MOA did you use? Was it easier to shoot out passed 50 yards? Any special mounting brackets used ? Would appreciate any additional info/advise you would like to pass along. Again thank you for the feedback.

Love the Trigicon RMR sight on my FNP 45 tactical. MOA from 3-6 seems to work best for pistols. Would also suggest adjustable brightness to avoid graininess. 100 yards with a pistol is a stretch, but the 5.7 would certainly be the one to choose.
