FNP45 usg price!!!!!

Post by lazi » 27 Mar 2009, 00:05

I have every intention of getting a FNP45 but i've been passing up the FNP45's i've seen to find a USG model with the 15 round mag and safety. I just did a search on them and they are going for around $750 now. :ponder: In December I could get a FNP45 for $600 and they have always been $650 when i've seen them.

I can't even seem to find a USG or get anybody to order one for me. Now it's $100 more bucks!!!

There was a .45 at the show for $610, but I passed it up for the .40.

I've wanted one for awhile now, but the higher price tag has kept me from buying it. Wife said one more firearm this year is enough, and it's time for a new computer, so guess I have to wait.

USG black and flat dark earth, shooters package (training barrel, holster, mag holster) $668
http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/prod ... s_id/58113" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

...I'm saving up for the shooters package...seems like a good deal to get it all.

Yeah, seeing as it actually makes use of the retardedly HUGE cases they're shipping guns out in now. :skep:

I actually just snagged a separate shooter's package off GB for the FNP40. Now I'll have a good carry holster, and one to use at events :)

Oh NO! I was just thinking that I should get a duty size .45 to shoot MAJ PF USPSA next year, then you guys come in there and dangle this in front of me!!!

I was already spilt between an XD, a G21, and a 1911; now I have to throw this in the mix too. I really like the FNP-45; but I was trying to get away from a double action first shot...

It's said to be able to be carried cocked, and on safe. safely.

I think it has safe, fire, and decock mode, but can't recall. My wifes Baby Eagle on safe is the decocker also.

I don't like decockers personally, they just add extra stuff on the gun that's in the way; but if the USG can be carried cocked and locked, I'm really looking at this gun. I want the SS slide ver., though.

643$ with shooter's pack. SS slide. The barrels for FNP's are match accurate, btw, so bobapunk, you'd probably be better off accustoming yourself to shooting a lighter polymer than a 1911. It will be just as accurate as a tuned 1911. I know this will start a sh*tstorm, but I am referring to the specific case of shooting USPSA. It will save him reloading time.

The other service pistols you're looking at most likely have heavier trigger pulls, unless you mod them with aftermarkets.

So they only offer these with the manual safeties? I like the lack of safety on my FNP40 and would like to see that on their other pistols, too.

If I remember correctly, the USG has a manual safety so it can be carried cocked & locked like a 1911 style pistol.
The fire control unit will also work as a DA/SA so that you do not have to use the safety unless you want to.

Its been a while since I looked at them but I believe thats the right info on why they added the MS to it.
