QUESTION for all
Re: QUESTION for all
FNX, hands down. I hate every M&P I've shot. If you have small hands it might be a better fit for you. Muzzle flip is terrible, it's nose heavy and out of the three I shot, two of them constantly had light strikes.
Re: QUESTION for all
I am going to buck the trend (and probably piss people off) but I do have an M&P fullsize, compact and an FNX. I prefer the M&Ps for carry. To be honest, I have had an M&P a lot longer, so I have a lot more range time with it. However, in general I do find that the M&P fits my hand better and has less perceived recoil. This has been echoed by several shooters trying it out in classes.
Now stylistically I do prefer the FNX with its classic commander ring hammer and safety/decocker system. I should also add that the FNX has performed flawlessly and I do intend on spending more range time with it shortly, if it ever warms up out here. I do also plan on getting a FNX40, probably next quarter.

Please don't remonstrate over the "supposed" hate that FN fans on the forum have over anything that isn't FN.remat457 wrote:I am going to buck the trend (and probably piss people off) but I do have an M&P fullsize, compact and an FNX. I really don't see that it exists on the level that the disclaimers pose.
Lately I think there have been quite a few posts that over-emphasize a supposed force that "attacks" others who do not follow their "FN" views. No one is going to get angry that you like and place another firearm or caliber over the FsN or FNP or 5.7x28mm etc. If they do, it's their own shortsightedness and shortcoming.
I personally do not shoot an FNP in competition, even though I like the gun very much. I have also shot the M&P's and like the Pro models. The FNP Tac.45 has the lowest recoil of any factory pistol I've shot in that caliber. It puts 1911's to shame (how's that for pissing off the 1911 guys! Just kidding. )
Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity.
The shooter will always matter more than the gear ever will.
Stop relying on others to do the work for you.
Shoot more, worry less.

Blasphemy!! And in the 100year anniversary too! I assume that FN is coming out with a 1911 this year too?blueorison wrote:It puts 1911's to shame (how's that for pissing off the 1911 guys! Just kidding. )
P.S. wasn't expecting a backlash from here in particular, but I do seem to have a knack for pissing people off lately!

Re: QUESTION for all
If FN is coming out with a 1911 I might have to add a gun to my list. I originally never planned on getting one unless I competed in SS or L10 division.

Re: QUESTION for all
I was a little surprised that the Browning 1911 isn't being made by FN!
