FS2000 bump fire!

Post by User42 » 10 Feb 2011, 14:26

In case you were wondering, yes it works, and yes it is awesome. Videos may take a few days, I'm a long way from civilization.

*edit* Well not only was I a long way from civilization, I lost my camera in the move. As an update, it took me six months to find my camera and get it in the same room as my memory card reader, but it finally happened.

I started to say in the video that I thought the handle would reciprocate, but corrected myself because my brother is from Arkansas and I didn't want to stop the video to explain what that meant. Yea, I'm an asshole like that.

As a bonus, I will also upload a video of AK74 bump fire vs 1/2lb of Tannerite in a bucket. I will go ahead and say warning foul language, but if you care about language you probably shouldn't watch my vids to begin with.

It's hard to even see the bucket in the video, but it was even harder after it went off. There was nothing left. Since we ran out of targets, we ended up cutting down a small tree.

Two questions:
1) Why would you want to?
2) What's so awesome about it?

Don't take this the wrong way, but who the heck are you? There is a question for you.

Here is another, if you don't care, then why comment?

Gun snobs aren't welcome in these here parts. Entiende cabrone?

Bump firing a bullpup? Did you tweak your trigger at all? Seems like it wouldn't be possible as a good bump fire platform.

Cool. So, can I use this if I get a AR57 upper and put it on my M4A2?
Better to have a tank when you don't need it then to need a tank when you don't have it.

Bullpups have recoil too. Definitely possible.

Its not the recoil that I am questioning - its the trigger. That is a long pull & a stiff trigger to do that with.

Pretty much, but usually you just loop your thumb into your belt loop on your pants while it's against the trigger and pull the firearm forward, toward the target, and the recoil will bump the gun back just enough to reset the sear and fire again with you still pulling forward.

Same idea behind the slidefire stock, just less accurate, reliable and also less expensive.

I hear the youtube is pretty neat...

You'll know you're doing it well when you can do it from the shoulder. I can with my AK74 106. It's a hoot. Can even keep 'em within about a 4 foot circle at 100 yards. Might have to take some vid next time I go out.

I can do it with my SKS at the shoulder, haven't quite gotten the SCAR down yet. I can only do about 2-3 rounds at a time.

YouTube has a couple of videos, I had to look it up before I believed it was possible with such a stubborn trigger. Still not a full believer, will have to try it on mine first.

Yea my FS2000 has the Neu trigger piece installed. Very sweet trigger for a bullpup now, no longer have any gritty plastic on plastic feel in it.

That's just fine for spray and pray.

Finally got around to getting it on film.

I know it's wasteful and not very practical, but sometimes it's just damn fun!!
