Starline?

Post by JollyRogers » 25 Jul 2013, 03:35

I was looking for brass for my wife's 380... Anyways, I sent them an email asking them to consider producing lacquer coated 5.7 brass. Has anyone else done this and gotten a response? I imagine if they made it, us types would buy it up pretty fast!

You would need to order a few million to get them to make it

Jay, I take it you actually talked to them about the idea and that was their response?

Which means they were telling you to GFY. They are requiring a $1.25MM order? That is a ridiculous minimum. I could see them requiring a run, but that isn't 5MM pieces, is it? Seems way high.

:agree:
Probably thinking that it will be a one-off and more trouble than it is worth without an order as large as quoted.

GONRA sez its obvious Starline Just Doesn't Wanna Mess with 5.7x28FN caliber.
Coated or Uncoated.
Starline probably reads the Handloding / Kaboom part of this forum.
Can't blame them on the minimum quantity, but the price seems double.
Bet extra $$$ quote would go to Insurance / Attorneys.....

Keep picking up fired FN brass fellas.
Others can hope Scharch gets some more "once fired brass" some day.
