PoA vs. PoI TEST with 7 Ammunition at 50yds SS vs EA Pic
Point of Aim vs Point of Impact - SS197 - SS195 - PenetraTOR - ProtecTOR - ProtecTOR II - T-6 Trident - S4M - ( 50 yds Zeroed for SS197 ) :skep:
7 Identical 2x2ft Cardboard with 2inch round targets, Point of Aim was at Center of the Black Target , Mags were stacked 5 of each round. All shots where fired on a 1...2...3...Fire Timing, so I didnt take longer or less time time with different Ammunitions types. Shot from a bench with a bipod at 50yds, my FsN is Zeroed for SS197 at 50yds. 84` F - 61% Humidity, Winds Calm
+1 to Elite Ammunition for making some B.A. Rounds Elite Ammunition

Thank you, PearlMonte. Good info!
Especially for my fixed-sighted FN
Good to know the rapid drop of heavier bullets at 50 yes.
Love the FN 5.7 with the bipod!
Have you tried rigging it with a magnified scope just to know the inherent accuracy of the gun? Curious!

Re: PoA vs. PoI TEST with 7 Ammunition at 50yds SS vs EA Pi
Wow, thanks for posting that PearlMonte! I never would have thought that there would be huge a huge shift in POI. I zero mine at 7 yards for ProtecTORs because it is my primary home defense weapon, but I will have to re-think things since my S4Ms will be here tomorrow (according to FedEx's website).
I'm going to have to redo my POA/POI tests at 7 & 15 yards after seeing what your results were. I'll post them in this thread when I do it next week-ish.
Edit: Have you tested the T6 rounds into clay or gel? I shot S5s into clay and they clearly broke into 3 pieces, creating 3 separate wound channels. I need to replace them once my supply runs out (they're no longer in production) and I am considering the T6 if it performs the same way.

Re: PoA vs. PoI TEST with 7 Ammunition at 50yds SS vs EA Pi
Great post!! I'll probably keep mine sighted for 197 since if I need to use my S4M it'll be at a much shorter range than 50 yards, but it's always beneficial to know where it'll be hitting. Thanks for the work :thumb:

this is impressive! Good job!
that is a serious drop on the penetrator and protector II
the fixed sights are calibrated for the SS195 correct? that would be about 18.2" below if you use protectorII in your fixed sight FsN

Case in point why fixed sights are a dumb idea for this gun...

Ah yes, I remember... you shot through the windshield. I recall the video ending just as you recovered what looked like part of the bullet. Did you recover any additional pieces? Also there was a second video where you shot into the caly with no additional barrier. That video made it look like the bullet stayed completely intact. Am I wrong about that?Buffman wrote:I shot some T6 into clay rememberjgreenberg01 wrote:Edit: Have you tested the T6 rounds into clay or gel? Re: PoA vs. PoI TEST with 7 Ammunition at 50yds SS vs EA Pi
I was shooting at targets in front of a dirt/rock backstop (farmers field) a couple weeks back and found a completely intact SS195 bullet. No deformation. Could probably reload it if I had to! Of course, this doesnt happen with S4's
Re: PoA vs. PoI TEST with 7 Ammunition at 50yds SS vs EA Pi
Nope that was the only piece I recovered, but I didn't tear the clay all the way apart. It appeared to be missing two sections of the bullet. The T6 in bare clay indeed stayed intactjgreenberg01 wrote:Ah yes, I remember... you shot through the windshield. I recall the video ending just as you recovered what looked like part of the bullet. Re: PoA vs. PoI TEST with 7 Ammunition at 50yds SS vs EA Pi
I don't think running a rifle scope on the FsN is Possible, the only thing that i thought of was to mount a green laser, and sight the laser dot while looking threw a spotting scope. Using the scope just to see where the dot was exactly at 200 yds. ??? Would this Work ??? My 4moa dot cover 8+inches at 200 yds, where a green laser should dot the target less than 2 inchs around??? I don't have a Laser Time to buy Laser2ndAMVa wrote:Thank you, PearlMonte. Good info!

The FsN has the potential to be SUPER accurate...2ndAMVa wrote:Love the FN 5.7 with the bipod!

Have you seen the target I shot at 100 yds with the FsN w/ Delta Point? And I didnt even have sand bags or a tripod...

Re: PoA vs. PoI TEST with 7 Ammunition at 50yds SS vs EA Pi
just imagine a scope, bipod, elite trigger job, proper reloads, and the forthcoming EA extended barrel! No words...can describe...the awesomeness...
Bipods aren't illegal like foregrips right? I'd assume not since you see them all the time on TC pistols...

Re: PoA vs. PoI TEST with 7 Ammunition at 50yds SS vs EA Pi
Bipods are completely legal, a few pistols come from the factory with them.
Re: PoA vs. PoI TEST with 7 Ammunition at 50yds SS vs EA Pi
Foregrip laws are stupid if there's no law against bipods. You can still hold on to a bipod...
If have a cool TC pistol scope W/ tons of eye relief that would work well on a supped(sp?) up FsN :ponder: Could probably go varmint hunting with it at a couple hundred yards!!!

Has anybody attached a magnified scope via the rails?

Re: PoA vs. PoI TEST with 7 Ammunition at 50yds SS vs EA Pi
There's a way of doing it but the concern exists (and I think we've seen it happen) that over time the added weight will break the rail right off.
