Velocity: PS90 SBR Suppressed vs PS90 Stock
I have really done a lot of reading on both 5.7 sites and can't quite get my question answered. It seems that an SBR with suppressor is about the same length as the stock PS90 before you cut it down. I've read the OAL is very similar between the two. Now, having read articles where suppressors have impacted performance positively because of an increased "barrel" length on pistols, how does it affect the suppressed SBR? You lose 200fps on an unsuppressed SBR. With the suppressor attached, do you gain most of the lost velocity back?
Re: Velocity: PS90 SBR Suppressed vs PS90 Stock
You gain very little performance with a suppressor attached. Maybe 20fps.
The gains you are talking about on pistols is due to the actual extra barrel length that attaches to the suppressor.

Re: Velocity: PS90 SBR Suppressed vs PS90 Stock
But what I want to know is, when you cut the barrel down to 10.5 inches and then stick a 6 inch suppressor on it, how are the velocity numbers compared to the unaltered PS90 w/ the 16 inch barrel?
Re: Velocity: PS90 SBR Suppressed vs PS90 Stock
A 10.5" barrel will be only be about 20fps faster with suppressor than unsuppressed. So still significantly slower than a normal 16"barrel.
Adding a suppressor is not the same as adding barrel length.
