Re: 550 paper clip shell ejection modification pics
Funny, I was talking to a guy at the gun show last weekend about a guy that modded his 550 with a tie wrap. He had recently bought a Hornady LNL AP progressive and was having primer feed problems. I told him that about every progressive I have heard of had to have some kind of tweaking done to it to...

My charging process goes like this. I use a loading block.
Set the powder measure.
Drop at least 5 charges that weigh the same.
Inspect all charged cases in the loading block with a flashlight.
Weigh 3 or 4 random charges in the loading block.
That was one hell-of-a spontaneous disassembly you had.

We are trying for Constitutional Carry this year. But the FUD factor is raising it's head now about Shall issue. Some cities and counties are trying to restrict carry in certain places. Even though the code says state law trumps local restrictions. It just never ends.

They were the ones who introduced the Shall Issue Bill here. But it took a long time for them to do it. And yes the requests for $$$ gets old.

Thanks Rapier.
Actually other states will benefit also if we pass this. Reciprocity is also included.
Iowa currently recognizes no other states permits. So feel free to write or call any of our legislators.

Visit http://www.iowacarry.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and go to the Legislative Action Link. There you will find info to contact your legislator, pre written email etc. This could be the year Iowa comes out of the dark ages( Shall Issue wise). :monkey: http://www.iowacarry.o...

Good info.
But I thought that the molly coated bullets were expected to be slower than the same weight bullets because they have less resistance going down the barrel.

Thanks Rapier. I've been on that road many times, but didn't know the significance of it.

Thanks for the info. I'll look at the die again. I have the die set to seat only and as of late I just glue and seat the frangibles. I have had this happen with Redding dies, they have a ring in the seating die. I took the ring out of the die with rubbing compound on a bullet and the drill press. Th...

Shows out of stock on their web site. Hornady has a similar bullet, NTX, but lightest offering is 45 gr. in .224.
I guess we should thank the left coast for more bullet offerings.

Sorry to say but your neighbor to the north, Iowa, is one of those states. Iowa aslo does not have reciprocity for any other states carry permits. The NRA is introducing a bill this session to hopefully change Iowa into a shall issue state. Just before I retired it was changed (well over a decade ag...
