snakedoc; Echoing your comment; I was very excited to see an instagram post my fellow CZ friend linked me to; it showed the optic-ready fullsize P10F I'd been awaiting. Happy to hear it is being mfg in the US. Hope it doesn't take the route that SIG did when their guns started being mfg in the US. I...

I've shot XDms... their prococked striker = you can buy the gun 500 + insane/dont breathe trigger 200 and be $700-800 out the door with a badass supposedly match-accurate 10mm.

Re: New Springfield Armory XD 10mm
The Hydrashok is pretty weaksauce. They should have used Underwood; it is basic knowledge/common practice to exceed/overtest your equipment (EAA Witness/Stock3), not undertest it. Even (ew) Sig 10mm would have been better as it isn't underloaded. 2000 rounds is pretty fair. 5000 for 9mm. Then again,...

So, lots of thoughts, but the answer is that if you are trying to hit a smaller/small target at 25yds, the best way to do it is to get to position as fast as possible and then engage; not shoot on the move. The whole definition of shooting on the move is fairly vague; if I break the shot as I come i...

I do want to get a rifle that hits harder than 5.56; maaaaaaaybe it has to do with the fact I just watched the first Tremor's movie, again, just a few minutes ago. But I already have an AR-AK... OH HELLO, REV
Forum is pretty quiet this past year; no threats of FsN bans < is probably the reason.
In other news, 5.7x28mm is progressing. One cool progression is the Fort28 pistol that has actually materialized. Video is on youtube. Not much to go on, but still better than nothing.

You can SBR the 5.7 pistol with KPOS. Have the barrel threaded for suppressor & get as close as you are going to get for MP7. Warning that would turn your pistol into a 2 stamp gun. All NFA rules would apply. http://www.fab-defense.com/en/category-pistol-to-carbine-conversion-kit/id-267/pdw-convers...

Always clean new weapons. Every BNIB weapon I've bought has this thick lube that sticks like grease. Re: CATI level IV plate vs M2AP
Whoaa that AP!!!
I'm looking for a medium Lvl IV ceramic plate.. if you sniff one out let me know!
The one in the vid is too thick; mine is pretty thin.

Re: FN9 Long Slide - Slide Release
Don; 2 main things; 1. Some clubs are really stringent on external modifications (as outlined by the rulebooks) on pistols, especially if you're shooting USPSA Production (you shouldn't be shooting IDPA, it makes you a worse shooter). Others don't care. Most don't. 2. The slide release is a slightly...

Dude, Mike, your smith is rad.
Sounds like he is a true nerd/engineer/pistolcrafter at heart. I really enjoyed reading the F86 bit.
I think your FO front and factory rear is the ticket (my pref would be to black out the stupid white dots in the rear, too!)
Can't wait to see it!

Re: FsN MKII Sights
Thanks, Mike! I'm taking a breather from USPSA, tired of stage planning. As far as 3Gun... you might hear something soon. The FsN is still my favorite pistol, alongside the .460XVR 7in Perf Center and the 10mms. When Jay is done with his extended slide project and my MkII, I'll take it to 3Gun and s...

Re: FsN MKII Sights
I think the front blade sight is implemented as such, for an attachment of a suppressor. I could be wrong but it makes sense to me. Initially, this came to mind, but it would barely even clear the rear of the suppressor, if it could. Also, I've seen multiple rear sights snap off or their screws com...

Re: FsN MKII Sights
This is why I have been offering lower front sights. The lower front blades though they sell aren't drilled and fill while we will over them. .490 is factory MKI, MKII, IOM etc. The .357 Night Sight is for the fixed sights. The .337 and .383 FNH never made night sights but I will be offering them s...

FsN MKII Sights
Aren't designed very intelligently. I bought a MkII and out of the box the rear sights looked like they were at the end of the set screw for elevation in the up direction. I thought they implemented that practice as a safety precaution, and clicked it down 20 clicks. The sight was still very far fro...

Why are you trying to convince him...?
People will do what they want .' )
FsN has low recoil - good for older people who don't prefer higher recoil firearms; carries a lot of ammo that is also very light. Mags are easy to load.

Great report.
I shoot with Dawson peeps; I asked them about this and they confirmed about the sight fitting.
I'm still on the fence, as I prefer an MRD on the FsN...
Thanks for sharing.

IKR. Can't believe it's finally happening! AND a new shop!

the thing I've been waiting like 4 years for, the extended bbl and slide extension!
I'm going to have to go buy a MkII and get it worked over by EA.

When something initiates a new wave of excitement, the motivation to search out forums/info will be renewed (...

Merry Christmas;
Look at the Burris FFIII or Vortex Venom. Both are around $200.
I recommend a reflex optic on the FsN, but it is just as fun without it.
