Plastic Storage Boxes

Could you please divulge the supplier of the blue plastic boxes you formally used for shipping your ammunition?

I would like to purchase some for storage of my 5.7 ammo.

Thanks.

Re: STP and Other NON Firearm Greases

I just ran across this topic, I've been running Mobil 1 grease in my 5.7.

The reason is I've used it on my Glocks for years. The slide feels like it's running on ball bearings but now I'm worried.

How many instances of this have you ran across? And was it STP?

That's backwards from reality.

The HK MP7 uses a curved mag and the FsN is straight.

Review of True Hunter Supply 5.7 MKII holster

When I first started carrying a pistol was when I became a Sheriffs Deputy in 1979, back then you could have any material for a holster you wanted as long as it was leather. Times have changed (for the better) the law back then was I couldn't carry a weapon outside my jurisdiction. Now I can carry a...

If you are shipping the holster, I'll try it. I carried a 5.7 pistol on (and off) duty for several years. I'm currently using a 2014 production MKII

Re: New Owner! Questions about Ammo

You can use any FNH ammo you can get your hands on (192,195,197,198,etc.). AE is ok too, in fact I believe the AE is made by the same people just packaged differently. The are the only FACTORY rounds I know of but there are other ammunition makers out there. Elite Ammunition for instance, they spec...

I'm using the same lube for all of my firearms...

Mobil 1 0W-40 Fully Synthetic

On my AR-15's it's the only oil I've used that with the rifle sitting in the safe for MONTHS the bolt carrier is still WET.

Re: Bad SS197 ammo

Pure and simple Fiocchi has ZERO QA / QC. I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with that. Referencing BARFCOMM as your source doesn't help your case either. Over the last four decades I've fired tens of thousands of rounds (quite a bit of it on full auto) the ONLY bad ammo I've EVER encountered ...

Correct me if I'm wrong...

But didn't Jay (Elite Ammunition) weigh a bunch of SS197 powder charges and found them all over the place.

Re: Bad SS197 ammo

On my PS90, (and now on my 5.7) I clean the chamber with a 9mm bronze brush and Carburetor Cleaner. Pure and simple Fiocchi has ZERO QA / QC. There are several threads running on AR15.com on over pressure issues on Fiocchi .300 Blackout. I only purchase SS198 now, it's not loaded by Fiocchi. I plan ...

Re: Bad SS197 ammo

GONRA HOPES you purchased this from a commercial distributor and not from "secondary sources". Buying ammo, powder, primers from anyone but a commercial distributor is taking a BIG chance on lousy (hot, humid) storage with attendant bad shootin'.... Let us no... It came from Cabella's, simply it's ...

I've had issues with light loaded SS197LF.

I had 4 rounds that wouldn't cycle my PS90.

I don't trust ANYTHING loaded by Fiocchi.

The guy advertising the ELP ammo is apparently a full blown nut job, or extremely sarcastic.

A 5.7x28 round with a 9 gr projectile traveling 4,000 fps and less than a 2" drop at 500 yards :lmao:

The round wouldn't even travel 500 yards.

Re: Holster sources for FsN

Even though I detest Kydex holsters, I know that leather is not a good choice for the Five Seven pistol because of the safety design (leather can shift and knock it off) It looks like I will go with Bravo Concealment Kydex, I plan on making my own belt interface out of heavy horsehide and go with a ...

The SERPA will fit ANY 5.7 pistol...period.
I just received my MK II, there is no way in hell it will fit in either of my Serpa's I used with my original 5.7.

I even considered trying to modify the Serpa for the MK II, there is not enough material in several locations to allow it.
