Re: Brass $33/1000 if anyone looking

Sorry, time has been limited lately and I don't get on much. I should have posted more about the brass. I have been buying brass from them for 3 years. Mostly processed 223. They are spot on and have really tight tolerances on their brass. Most everything is GI once-fired GI surplus or government su...

Re: Illinois hunter gets 25-point buck with help from Google

Not sure how Illinois' laws go, but in Kentucky he would not have been able to harvest the deer, as the cause of death was through drowning not from the hunter's arrow. Interesting he was allowed to claim and score the deer.

1800 rounds of mixed EA ammo

1800 rounds of mixed EA ammo for sale. Don't have the complete breakdown yet, but since switching back to 10mm for carry and loading my own, I am selling my 5.7 ammo.

I will be asking $1000 for the lot and will have pics up tomorrow

Graf's still has CCI BR2 large rifle primers in stock 5000 for 202.99 (or 177.99 if you have a dealer account)

Re: Primers in stock

Wolly, I'm here in western KY where reloading is a plenty, so I was surprised to see the primers on shelf, even seeing a lot of ammo available as well with lower prices and prices on AR's/Ak's and the like have dropped as dealers have a lot more on shelf.

Re: Primers in stock

Is there still that bad of a shortage?

In the past month I have seen small rifle, small pistol, large rifle, and large pistol in stock with "normal" pricing at two local dealers and a local gander mountain.

I haven't checked online much, but figure most of that is do to backorders being filled.

Re: Need help with .223 reloads...

The shoulders still look a little "flat"

And good catch on the bullet depth, the canelure should be deeper as well.

Re: Need help with .223 reloads...

If it is a full size die, sounds like the die is off. Compare one you made to a commercial brass, definitely looking at the relationship to the shoulder. And measure the distance above labled 1.4378 and 2.2598.

Post a pic of your load with a commercial so we can see

What dies are you using, and are you neck sizing or full sizing the brass?

Re: Factory ss192 pull down and reload

haha....guess instead of doing a search for 28gr and 192 I should have been doing the ss195 as it has yielded more info. I have a huge stash of ss192 I picked up the month before and during FN's decision to not send any more (nice $11 a box back then) Any favorite loads, I have a lot of ramshot true...

Factory ss192 pull down and reload

How many people are doing this? I still have several ss195 and 192 rounds that I have been tempted to sell, but still have my dies for the 5.7 and have thought of investing in a bullet puller.

Any suggestions? I tried a search, but 28gr was too common according to the system.

As with any of service industry, i give and receive proffessional courtesy to other physicians and their families. So why would I pay for something I dont ne...

Re: Does anyone else do this?

I have children and I have a handgun within easy reach. Although not top of the line...I have several hipoint 9mm hidden in "clocks" and "picture frames" throughout the house within easy reach, but I also will have a 38 bodyguard on me until bedtime. But I also live out in the country where it takes...
