WIN571? To slow and way to big to meter into the case very well.
You must be thinking of some other powder Jay. Win571 is the same as HS7. Also it is a small ball powder just like True Blue.

Re: 1/2x28 to 10mmx1 thread adapter

So did a little more research on the web and found an adapter for $49.99. http://www.thesilencerstore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35_41&products_id=140&zenid=Vh2D0plfTgAaYl3xEYRCg2 There is another company I found that can make them as low as $20 a piece but to get that price requires...

Another option besides me trying it would be these guys. They are a little spendy in my opinion but its an option.

Re: 1/2x28 to 10mmx1 thread adapter

If that doesnt work out for you let me know. I have all the taps/dies and lathe threading tools to be able to do that. Its been a little while do to health issues since I last used my lathe, but i'm sure I could dust it off and attempt it. Also would need to know what type of material you want it ma...

Re: 300 AAC blackout 16" M4 is a dominar!

Its max effective range doesnt even break 500yrds. Never heard nor seen any data other then theoreticle that even hits 600, and nothing that could be 700plus yards. Why would you need or want a scope for distances well beyond that? Not trying to bust your bubble. If you have info and data on a round...

Re: Lee sizer die 5.7x28

Get some Mothers mag wheel polish and buff the edges and opening of the die. As to the neck issue you will need to be more specific as to how its sizing it incorrectly. For example is the neck not being reduced small enough, or to small.

Re: 5.7x28 bolt action

Nice. What do you think the interest level would be for a mag insert that would let folks be able to have a repeater Rem700 action built 5.7? Just gauging interest before I jump off a cliff with this thing. I know a million different factors come into play but just out of curiosity for me really. I...

Re: Possible new S&B 5.7x28 coming out

Had sent them an email asking as to an ETA on the new 5.7x28 stuff. Recieved a response today. Here was the response. It would seem that since it was a magtech rep that responded that S&B had handed the whole project off to them. My original email was to S&B. Shaun, This product has been put on hold...

Re: Handloads are mid-air tumbling

Yes, at one point they did use 55gr sierra match king bullets. But that was back during the days before the mkII came out. The current flier you can download lists it as a 62gr. So as I said before, they have the magic combo. So something has obviously been changed to make that workable. Can anyone ...

Re: Best powder for 40-50 gr?

I would say that True Blue is the best all around powder period for the weight you are looking at. Especially since HS7 was discontinued. Hodgdon Longshot works about as good as True Blue as a second good choice.

Re: Handloads are mid-air tumbling

FNH must have their finger on the magic powder/bullet combo. According to their flier the SB193 is a 62gr fmj. It does not specify if its designed for use in only the PS90 or FSN. I myself seem to have no issues creating stable subs using 55gr fmj bullets. I haven't done very much testing with 62gr ...

What gen model is it? Is it an complete AR57 rifle or did you purchase and add the upper? If you added the upper, did you use their recoil spring and buffer?

Re: FiveseveN Mk II Failure to Extract

Just go to the local Walmart and get the walmart brand. Also don't soak the chamber in it, just use a q-tip and brush in the chamber. Getting carb cleaner into the area where the barrel threads into the holder will break up the thread locker they use.

Without your suppressor on you should see less shoulder movement and an increase in the primer flattening do to the slide staying closed longer.

Re: 40gr vmax with Unique pistol powder

Based on your pictures I would say you are near the upper limits of the load. Your primers show a ridge where it tried to flow back into the firing pin channel and your shoulders are pushed forward alot. I'd be real careful with reliance on quick load for pressure and velocities because it has been ...

Re: Reloading equipment for 5.7x28mm

The difference between the 2 is that one has a hole in it to eject primers out from. The other is a solid flat bottom which I use when sizing the cases. I deprime in a seperate step then with sizing.

Re: Reloading equipment for 5.7x28mm

I've been reloading old brass for a while and have run into a few problems I felt worth noting. The RCBS shell holder destroys the rim because it has a lip on it that becomes imprinted in the brass. the Brass is also loose and wobbly in it leading to laquer scraping off one side and bullets seating...
