Re: Masterpiece Arms MAC-10 5.7x28mm

I have two FsN's and typically only take one to the range. Mainly this is because I know most guns have a "break-in" that loosens up the action and changes the feel of it. With two I can monitor the difference over time. I am also on EA's accurizing list (the wait is killing me :wall: ) and can't wa...

Re: Is this safe?

As a kid I heard and read of cut shells and had completely forgotten about them. Same here. I remember a few friends and myself making and firing a few of them off as kids, but you wouldn't catch me doing that nowadays. Especially out of a pump. I think my invincibility and unlimited intelligence r...

Re: Heartbeats.

In Texas, on the first muzzle, you get a warning from the LE shooter. Next muzzle you get a gun in your face. It makes the idiots go away really quickly. Same thing I learned in Rangemaster school in the service. There is a reason the Rangemaster/RSO is always armed. It's amazing and horrifying see...

Re: New Member Introduction

Hello everyone. I've been lurking around here for a while and I suppose it's time for a formal intro. So, I'm from and live in the Houston area. Moved back here after a five year stint and two deployments as a gunners mate in the navy. I own a nice Texas-size selection of firearms including a pair o...

Re: Cleaning an FN Five Seven

I'm kinda anal about giving my guns a thorough cleaning after every shoot and sometimes in between because I can't go for long without handling them in between range sessions. :)

In my experience, oil=good & grease=bad on a piece that is used even every once in a while.

Just my $.02

Re: Cleaning an FN Five Seven

I prefer the old military variant CLP. As an old gunners mate that stuff runs through my veins. I managed to find something by the same name off the shelf and it is very similar, maybe the same. It is difficult getting used to it coming out of an aerosol can.

IMHO if it works, use it.
