Re: Durability with red dot sight?
AIMPOINT - OMG :lmao: I wouldn't think to put that on a pistol unless it was maybe a 223. I tried one on my Kel-Tec and did not like it - the C-More is better suited for that type of weapon. But then everyone has a preference based on what works for them. I tried the Aimpoint on a GSG-5PK and it's O...

Ahhh - I have the Elite Rail Adapter with a "Docter" red dot - only 1K rnds thru it and so far no problems - the Five-seveN looks like they are well constructed from what I have seen - internal steel with polymer outer shell where sturdy is required - no cheap short-cuts. What type of pistol??
I have a Red Dot (Docter) on my FNH Five-seveN and one on my wife's Walther P22 - the weight is VERY slight and neither has shown any issues. The Five-seveN has a Slide Mount and the Walther has a Frame Mount rig.

I have a C-More on my AR57 and a 'China Repro' (from eBay) on my Kel-Tec PLR 223. Tough to tell the difference - performance and durability is equal. Well with the ar57 you still get 50rds compared to 30rds and if you don't use a mag as a brass catcher it is super slim as apposed to an ar15 with a 30rd mag sticking out the bottom.
