*Price Drop* 500 rds Speer Gold Dot 155gr 40 S&W ($550)
I am selling (10) 50 rd boxes of Speer Gold Dot LE ammo in 40S&W. It is 155gr. Long story short, I purchased this in anticipation of a gun I had purchased due to my firearms being stolen. Well, the gun that the gun store ordered wasn't the gun that showed up. It was supposed to be a P2000SK in 40 an...

SOLD I am selling 73 rounds of S4M, 33 rounds of Protector II, and a box of SS197SR. My FsN was stolen over the holidays (along with 4 other firearms) and I no longer have a need for this ammo. Depending on the city in CA, yes you can apply for a ccw. In large citites with high crime rates, they are seldomly granted to anyone besides a judge, cop, or bank delivery driver. It depends on the city to be honest. In the rural cities, CCW are granted more often....in large cities such as Los Ang...

I like the fact that a gun is fired numerous times before being released from the factory. You dont run into assembly related malfunctions in one shot. My honest take on the FNX is that FN introduced it to spike lackluster sales of the FNP 9 and 40. They added all this stuff that people seem to demand nowadays. Ambi this and that, all these backstraps, and rougher texturing on the frame. The guns are very similar besides the add ons. They make .357...

I sold the Sig a couple years ago. They are very well made guns but they are not tack drivers by any means. A standard P226 shoots just as well as a Glock 17, CZ 75, or any other well known gun. Im sure it would last for a matter of years but if i don't shoot it for "x" years and need it one day i don't want to hear click.

Re: Right priced 197
The best i've found is once again on my installation (Eglin AFB). They charge 24/box for SS197 but it is tax free. Seems like that is the cheapest i can find considering tax and shipping cost.

Re: Are EA and FNH the only manufacturers of 5.7x28mm
Thanks for the link to the reloading supplies. It's kind of a let down that the only local ammo i can find is SS197 @1675fps from a FsN. That is quite impressive by all means, but definitely underplays what this cartridge is capable of. Even more so of a let down is the fact that SS195 has a ?? shel...

Re: The BEST .22 Rifle on the planet
We have to shoot through a steel barrel at the only range around here. Its stupid but they consider it safer. Its about 3 ft in diameter and 4 ft long. So i've heard that subsonic is pretty quiet out of the long barrel on the Ultra Lux but i wouldnt know because that stupid "safety" barrel makes eve...

Re: Whats the best shotgun to buy?
Benelli Nova Pump. You can use 2 3/4, 3, and 3 1/2" magnum shells in it. You can shoot slugs through it. And you can quick swap longer barrels in it for hunting purposes. Has some very easy to acquire ghost ring sights installed too. Check one out you will not be disappointed.

Re: The BEST .22 Rifle on the planet
Oh i had to add this extra little experience i had at the range a few weeks ago. Me and a good friend were shooting the CZ (iron sights) @ 100yds. Up walks this guy with a very fancy rifle case and alot of high end .308 ammo. I mean Winchester Ballistic tip, Hornady TAP, and all this crap. I was kin...

Re: The BEST .22 Rifle on the planet
I wouldn't doubt that a 10/22 with custom work from a reputable shop would drive tacks with no problems at all. I also really like the semi-auto aspect and that they make 25 round magazines for it. As much as i've owned, sold, shot, and borrowed .22 rifles I have never come accross one in this price...

Re: Sig P556 question?
Yeah stupid but not nearly as stupid as California gun laws. Had i not been moving from FL to CA, i couldnt purchase a two-tone FiveSeven. The only gun on their allowed roster is the all black USG model. The ODG and FDE colors are banned. Same goes for two-tone XDs. Its driven by the fact that someo...

The BEST .22 Rifle on the planet
I have been shooting .22 rifles and pistols for nearly 20 years now (young by many standards) and have shot damn near everything I could get my hands on. From Walmart special 10/22's to Anschutz. I had never shot a CZ though. I have some experience with CZ75 and its many variants and can vouch that ...

FNH FiveSeven Variations
Besides the sights and the obvious color differences between the Five Seven models, are there any other differences. I thought they were all SA handguns, but other sources claim that one or more models were DA only. Im interested in the FDE model (Desert Tan/Black) with the adjustable sights. Cant f...

Re: How to hit at 100 yds?
I agree with the 50yd sight in. The raise or drop in inches between 15yds and 100yds would be minimal so if you aim center mass you should hit either target. That is if you are using a man sized target. Now if you are trying to hit a 6" gong @ 100yds then luck be on your side. The range I shoot at i...

Re: Are EA and FNH the only manufacturers of 5.7x28mm
Thats not bad at all. I have been very interested in reloading but cant afford the supplies. It gets expensive shooting .45ACP as much as i do and it looks like it aint gonna get any cheaper shooting 5.7 My next project is definitely going to be getting into the supplies and components to reload the...

Are EA and FNH the only manufacturers of 5.7x28mm
So ive been doing A LOT of online research trying to price out 5.7x28mm. The only thing i can find is SS195, SS197, and EA stuff. Does anyone else make this ammunition. Is any of it cheaper than $20/box. And to the reloaders out there, how much do you save making your own 50 rds vs buying a box @ $2...

Re: The word, TACTICAL
Unfortunately the word sells this day and age. Especially with the "Call of Duty" Generation that glorifies everything about 15 railed accessories that do your homework while launching nukes across the seas. I have seen some very interesting uses of the word on products at gun shows. Maybe I should ...

Re: FNH Quality Control
If I were half as picky as those people almost every gun I own would have been back for work at one point or another. The only gun I have ever "sent in" was a Springfield 1911 Trophy Match. After about 50 rounds the slide would actually completely bind upon a round being chambered. I sent it in and ...

Re: FNP40 or FiveSeven
My pops really enjoys his Ruger Single Six in .22WMR. Hes always talking about how under-rated .22mag is and i agree completely. Seems like 5.7 ammo is everything the .22WMR is and more in a reliable semi auto platform. Very hard to find reliable .22WMR semi-auto handguns. Theres only a couple made ...

This guy is why the shooting community and our rights are on the chopping block across this nation. You dont pull guns on people unless your life or your loved ones lives are at stake. He should get the maximum punishment for being that stupid regardless if he was intoxicated or not.

Re: Springfield 1911 A1 vs FNP 45 Tactical
Nice Post. I have yet to shoot a FNP45. But i owned a Springfield Loaded full size and still own my M&P 45. Needless to say my Smith and Wesson was more accurate (for me) than my 1911. Alot of 1911's are hit or miss as far as build tolerances and inherent accuracy even from the big names like Spring...

FNH Quality Control
I have heard alot of whining about poor QC out of FNH-USA. I have some friends that would argue that FN has some of the best quality control in the business. Re: FNP40 or FiveSeven
As much as I would like to buy my father every gun on the planet, i have $1000 to spend. He has arthritis in his hands and considering the recoil comparison between 40 a...

FNP40 or FiveSeven
I want to surprise my father with a new gun. The BX at the Air Force base im stationed at is having a FNH promotion event and will be knocking off 10% of the cost of all guns made by FN. These guns are tax free as well and will include 5 magazines as part of the promo. The price point wins for the F...
