Didn't have time to watch the whole video, but I got to the barrel part that I was interested in and I'm still not sure. Question is, will my threaded EA barrel fit in the new Mk3? I have grey controls. I bought the barrel prior to 2014 I believe. Edit: Looks like I bought it late 2014.

One shot fired per trigger pull, that's the law. If you fire a shot, and then hammer follow causes another shot to be fired, it's off to the poke with you. From what I've seen of the Binary trigger, hammer following, resulting in a cycling of the charging handle and ejecting of a live round, is a bi...

Yup, welcome to FN world, where no one else lives. It's also not a .224 bore, saw one slugged recently at .221. I measured a fired case, came up with 29.xx mm without trimming, but no way am I knocking a mm off during trimming, so it's all make believe, just like the .38 and .380.

The AE stuff is for plinking, if it's HD you're after the SS195 would be fine. Energy levels are in the 9mm ballpark, but you get more rounds and almost zero recoil. Three different lots of HS-7
I've managed to round up some HS-7 and W571 recently, and was curious if they'd all perform the same, with one of them being over 40 years old. http://i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc519/ThaDoubleJ/IMG_20160709_153436403_zpsribccbfr.jpg If you didn't know, HS-7 = W571 same as H110 = W296, HS-6 = W540...

Spectre II, Sparrow SS, and Axiom are all pretty similar, and mine suppresses pretty well with the Axiom, so I'd imagine it'd do alright.

Best prices I see around Denver are at Sportsmans Warehouse. Buy a lot, and Powder Valley is mad cheap, but you gotta get enough to make up for the hazmat.

Buff - AE, 197, and handloads. I'll see if I can dig out some previously fired brass and get some clear photos. Hopefully I can find the brass from my casting experiment a while back, my velocities never even got to modest, and my shoulders were pushed out like I'd run 55s at 1800. Edit: Looks like ...

Semi auto, rate of fire is limited by my index finger. Not sure what the P90 runs, but I'm sure I can't match it. Shoulder movement is one of the ways you use to determine pressure in the FsN, it doesn't act like a normal cartridge when working up loads. Primers flow with AE factory loads. If your s...

That sounds like the over stretching damage I read about. They can only be compressed until the coils bind, which they're designed for. They can be stretched until they're a straight wire, obviously not useful as a spring any more.

You can't stretch test a compression spring . We also use different diameter wire so using just length is not going to work. Also shoulder movement is totally normal, and with our higher rate spring you will see an increase in performance. Please cite your source, this contradicts everything I've co...

Spring Rate Musings
Ever since I got my EA tuned EFK threaded barrel, I've been struggling with excessive shoulder movement. I was hoping it was some odd break in issue, and not a chamber issue. A friend suggested it may be a spring rate issue, but I thought as it was a new, EA heavy spring, that shouldn't be the case....

For what a Savage rifle costs, they should shoot AK groups. I know everyone now has a cheap bolt gun that'll do sub minute groups, but Savage always has, at the expense of that barrel nut that makes everyone throw up of course.

In low light, like a dim hallway, it ceases to work much at all. In general for most areas of my house, the fiber optic is less bright than a white painted front sight. I am not sure whether this is the case with all fiber optics, or whether it is caused by this rod being so narrow to fit the 0.090...

Derp! I'm dumb, I keep forgetting there are other platforms than the FsN for the 5.7. Don't have an answer for you, since the AR57 ejects down, can't use your ejection pattern to determine if you're overgassed (over blowbacked?) or not once you screw the can on. I'd say if it continues to function r...

I gotta say, they dump all their energy and tumble within those 9", believe that bullet is like .800 long or something, that's quite a slice through your tummy, and you've still got either 20 or 50 more after that first shot, seems like that'd do the trick.

What barrel? I've got the EA modified EFK barrel with their spring, pistol cycles the same with or without an Axiom on the end of it, which is to say fairly reliable, but certainly no worse with the can on it.

Well, it was a joke, but as long as we're on the subject... Factory rounds are glued specifically to create inconsistent velocities and kill the Savage bolt rifle before it ever hit gun stores. FN might make great guns, but they should probably talk to Hornady or somebody about their ammo.

What bullet? Possible you're bulging something, slowing down cycling and causing failures. Not sure. I don't crimp any 5.7 rounds except my cast ones, since I have to expand the mouth to seat them, and I only crimp the expanded portion out, no more. If there's no crimp groove or cannelure, there doe...

Tell us more about where you reload. Cold garage to warm house for any of the components? I've not used sinterfires with BD, but they work fine with AA7. Could be a powder or primer contamination issue.

My recent load data with W540 (HS-6) and the 42gr sinterfires went fine until a .1gr increase jumped my ES into the mid 200s, and that was just as I was approaching 197 velocities. Past experiments with loudshot didn't produce any odd results, seemed to work well, but was mad loud. Like 30-06 loud. ...

I have an Axiom on my FsN. Pulls double duty on my 22/45. Pretty much all ammo will be subsonic from an SR22. Most of the noise will be from the port. The FsN suppresses surprisingly well, even with supersonic loads. You'll be very happy with that Axiom.
