Re: 5.7x28 case exsperiment

Tacicardia: no disrespect but did you read the thread at all? Most importantly my last post? Grantness : well that was the reason for my exsperiment ie if the laquer coating in automatics is so important why isn't it on every other automatic cartridge out there. As far as absolutely needing the laqu...

Re: 5.7x28 case exsperiment

I just wanted to say oops that last post should have been round #2, For round #3 I still didn't have any FTF or FTE nor popped primers. I also have to say that my PS90 has left my possesion someone offered me a fair amount more then I had in the gun. It's kinda what I do I buy items at the right pri...

Re: SLP for 3 gun VS the haters....

I went through the same thing here 2 years ago. I was winning all the three guns as far as the shotgun stages went with a 870 and I wanted to up my game even more. I looked at both the M1,M2 and the M4 as well. I ended up getting the SLP Mk1 nad haven't looked back since. As far as your locals sayin...

Re: 5.7x28 case exsperiment

Round#3 Sorry to have taken so long, I've been dealing with some foot problems and haven't been able to get out as much a I'd like. All rounds went without a hitch no ftf or fte, no popped or peirced primers. I'll get them loaded up again and hopefully get to the range and run 'em through.

Re: P90 Magazine Range Bags

I ended up getting this case that has three mag pouches on the out side. It's the elite survival case this was the best price I could find on them. (you have to click on the PS90 down torward the bottom) http://www.guncases.com/elite-survival-systems-assault-systems-submachine-gun-case.html" onclick...

Re: PS90 Jams

When I bought my ps90 it came with a Amer. Tac. 50 round and a factory 30. The AT mag did jam up when I took it apart the two rollers ( I don't know the exsact name for them) had seam lines from the molding proccess. I shaved them off with a knife and smoothed them up. When I compared the spring fro...

Re: 5.7x28 case exsperiment

Seeing how fast they can be pushed without the laquer or replaceing the laquer wasn't a part of this exsperiment. It was to see if the laquer was truly accually needed in order to run at standard factory velocitys. According to the posts I've read saying it couldn't bedone without mayjor issues I ju...

Re: 5.7x28 case exsperiment

Round #1: After 39 hours in the tumbler using the maroon media the Laquer coating was all removed. The load I am using is 6.2 grains of HS-6 behind a 40 grain v-max which gives 2200fps through the chrono. I loaded up the once fired laquer free cases and got out to the range today. All 50 rounds went...

Re: 5.7x28 case exsperiment

This will all be done with the same load, I've gotten kinda the same gist from talking to rcbs ( I did give them a call after reading the other posts) and fn both basically said at the normal loadings (no wheres near what elite loads them to) I really shouldn't have a problem as far as extraction go...

5.7x28 case exsperiment

I'm new to the forum and have been trying to find out info on the laquer coating. I have seen two posts asking about possibly running the cases with no coating on them. Before the two individuals could get a answer they were kinda jumped upon and belittled. One mentioned to have talked to a RCBS tec...

Re: 5.7x28 dilema

I doubt the press is misaligned, after reading what Ifire stated I might not have gotten the one shot all the way to the bottom of the case. The shell holder portion of the press is spring loaded it self aligns. Look at a forster press and you know what system I'm running. It accually lets the die g...

5.7x28 dilema

Hello everyone this is my first post on the forum and I just wanna say this forum is great. I picked up a PS90 last week, what a neat gun. I ended up geting a set of rcbs dies (I know you all reccomend the Lee but I haven't been able to find any place that has them) I've always used rcbs for everyth...
