Re: Gun Mounted Light w/ Laser - Review/Poll -updated 7.13.

The CL5 has been excellent so far, no need to change the battery, and I've used the laser for about 6 hours now, and light about .5 hour. The fact it uses the very common to my other lights/lasers 123 Lithium battery is a serious plus. (Just stock 3 types of batteries in my safe, N, 123 and 2030 dis...

Re: FN 5.7 - YOUR TIME HAS COME!

I would venture to say that our nation, and indeed, the entire world is collectively not in a good mood lately. The economy in our nation has turned ugly, and appears that few in leadership are doining anything helpful. World wide, I do not think our nation has been at more risk in most of our lifet...

Re: FN 5.7 - YOUR TIME HAS COME!

Yep, normally, I'd have never done it 4 wide at this indoor range, but it was completly empty other than myself and the "Gangsta's" in the three lanes next to me. It really depends on the day, but some days, you go shooting and never talk to anyone on the range line. Other days, you get in there, an...

Re: Five Seven (OVERLOAD) or ADHD?! --HELP!!

One thing to consider is if you want to use a micro red dot in the future, most of the adapters mount to the factory adjustable sights. If you have fixed sights, you will need to buy a set of factory adjustable sights first. (About 95.00 or so, last I looked.) The best compromise I've seen lately is...

Taurus SLIM in 9mm is a good option. Not the smallest, but nice trigger, and packs a punch.

Re: Shot my Five-Seven at 200 yds, 9 of 20 HIT silhouette w/

7" threaded barrel for the FsN would be epic. Still not to long to carry, but would perhaps be the "sniper" pistol you guys are talking about. (Not that the stock 5" sucks that much it appears.) How about a "mono" pod, or deployable bipod on the front? Does that make it SBR? A stubby verticle grip w...

Re: FN 5.7 - YOUR TIME HAS COME!

It is not just in Chicago, but all over people are angry, bored, out of work and downright scared. This leads to short tempers, and bar fights that would have a few years ago been contained in the bar, spill out into the street, and become huge mobs of folks in short order. Even Boise is not immune,...

Re: PS90 TriRail and Leupold

I'm thinking a SPARC on the PS90 would be a nice compromise, but I do like the USG optic as well.

Then again, a 3x or 4x acog with a fast fire on top would be cool too.

Re: OAL W/Aftermarket Barrel

A better idea is this: Use the existing butpad as a guide. Design an extended tube that fits the stock, but goes though the existing butpad, and is fixed into place by the butpad. So, the telescopeing part is like an AR setup, but only goes a few inches, there are less than 3" to deal with here, so ...

Re: PS90 barrel slight turn

From what I have seen the "barrel" on the PS90 is a shroud to start with. (The actual barrel is screwed into the center of it, and is quite small in actual diameter.)

Anyone have a photo of the SBR barrel? I'm guessing it does not have the shroud, only the flash/compensator attached.

Re: Standard USG ring site vs Red Dot on PS90 w/stock extens

I have been thinking over how to mount the optic exactly where I want. I like the Ring sight, but have to admit it's not the most user friendly thing in the world. With the Ring removed, there is a pretty good sized "U" channel there to creat mounts for. (I've seen a few for the ACOG, and Aimpoint.)...

Re: New FNH USA Inc PS90/P90 USG Red Dot Sight $315 with rev

I have seen a few FastFireII's mounted up, and this is a nice setup for the price. (Seems very similar.) I sure sure I wanted to keep my Black Ring sight, and add the REM3b, but not so sure now. Upside of the Ring, is that it's dang sturdy and simple. If the REM3b fails, it still works. Then again, ...

Re: NEW ATI 50 ROUND PS90 / AR57 MAGS $20!!

I'm just glad that the "deal" when I bought my PS90 included 5 50 round FNH mags along with the 30 rounder in the box with the weapon. I was supprised to find it included no FNH cleaning kit however. The FS2K came with a nice one that was an unexpected bonus. I think for the money, at least throwing...

Re: Two NEW firearm models chambered for 5.7x28mm by EXCEL A

A CX4 type carbine that uses the standard FsN 20 round mags would be awesome. (And there are easy upgrades to make it a 30 rounder, or more.) The AR style setup is nice too, as many are used to that platform, and can go from using a 9mm AR carbine to the 5.7x28 to keep carry rounds the same if using...

Re: PS90 Side Rails and Spacers - Install with or without &

I'm trying to keep the sides of the weapon clear, and no wider than possible.

Mounting up a rail, sort of how the CX4 has on the front is my goal. (Have not found anyone who wants to build one yet.)

Perhaps I should contact PP?

Re: P90 Magazine Range Bags

The backpack idea is excellent. I've done it with my FS2K, just take it down into two parts, and it fits, mags in the side pockets as well. Don't have the name of my pack handy, but it's from the late 80's, so not something you can just go buy anyway. :) Had my C4gery broken down and in it as well. ...

Re: PS90 Side Rails and Spacers - Install with or without &

The paralax issue is why I'm trying to devise a mount closer to the center of the bore line, just under the barrel. Looking at the metal frame part, why has nobody come up with a clamp on system to put a 1913 rail section just over the barrel forward of the magazine? There, or under the barrel, sort...

Re: Thoughts on Unimax Green Laser for PS90

My brother has a few of their older, and more powerful green and red lasers. I was absolutely stunned at how powerful and bright they were. The green one was 500mw IIRC, and could be seen for miles. (As in you could put the dot on stuff, and see it miles away in clear air, low humidity.) Any dust, f...

Re: Gun Mounted Light w/ Laser - Review/Poll -updated 7.13.

Got the laser/light in, and I'm impressed. It's well made, and as in the photo above, nice and tidy but uses a 123 Lithium battery, so should have pretty good life in my experience. (And it is common with a few other lights/lasers I have, so easy to keep fresh spares that I need to carry.) The green...

:) Weapons are tools. :) I expect wear. What I don't want is them to fail without some kind of notice/warning, and on that front, the FN stuff has been very good. Thanks for the advice about snow and large sand/pebbles. Wonder if there is a way to provide a clean path to eject the snow? Don't know a...
