Never a good idea to use pistol/shotgun powders in rifle cartridges. The burn rate is too fast. Rifle powders have a very slow rate of burn. Plus rifle cartridges are greedy and eat up powder fast. They don't like to share.

Definitely kind of high for used. The spots you're seeing are actually brass and copper. It happens with a lot of guns, mostly rifles. I have brass spots all over the feed ramp of my FAL. Get some Kano Kroil and it will dissolve those in just a few minutes.

Someone asked this a while back. I'm not sure if they ever found anything. I don't see why you couldn't remove the optic and replace it with something of a similar size. Just reuse the mount.

Just to point this out; there is no original gun design. Everyone copies everyone. All guns, just as any product, evolve from inspiration from other designs. Knocking a company for that is just having a hipster attitude. Saying oh, they did it first and that's when I liked it. I don't like glocks be...

I'm not a fan of glocks. It has nothing to do with the way they function or quality; I just can't get past the looks. They are so blah and uninteresting looking. I'm a sucker for aesthetics. I shoot my 357 sigs from an XD, which also seems to be a pretty polarizing gun. I really love it. I love the ...

I don't know anyone who loads the .357SIG, sadly. When I was deciding on the caliber, I had read that it's potential was 1600fps+; the factory loads are only at 1400fps. Blue, if you pm me your address, I will send you some of mine. That is if you're comfortable with trusting my hand loads. I load ...

IMO its definitely a cartridge worth hand loading or getting someone to hand load. It makes a nice big boom and it has some decent recoil at that velocity. Its a blast to shoot (unintentional bad pun). :p

Apparently my 357 sigs just had it out for my chrono. The first time I went out chrono'ing them, I nicked a rod for the light diffuser and it vanished. All I could do was laugh after I shot the whole damn thing. It sucked that I shot a $90 piece of equipment, but it was such a perfect shot. My buddy...

It finally happened.

After being a member of this forum since January and shamefully not even owning a single 5.7 platform, I finally saved up enough to get my hands on a Fiveseven. Rapier, I was referring to the plastic part on the bolt assembly that catches the spent cases and drops them in the ejection tube. Perhaps extractor was an improper term, but I'm not certain as to what its called. I had to wrestle with it for a while the first time before I realized it sits beside t...

I load 62 grain fmj's for mine and it seems to love them. The accuracy with them is pretty ridiculous. The only problem I had with my initial cleaning was getting the plastic case extractor back on. Once you do it the first time its a breeze. Its a really great rifle, so have some fun with it.

You forget the FsN ISN'T a pistol. I predict the ATF banning it because they'll inevitably redefine the caliber as "rifle only" and claim that the FsN is an SBR. Mark my words. I'm pretty sure they can't classify any round as rifle only. The only way they could call it an SBR would be if there were...

Also careful if you were planning on keeping that same charge in the case. Its a pretty bad idea load a heavier bullet with a charge for a lighter one. It will over pressurize. You'd just have to make sure to add your own charge. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to pull them. It shouldn't damage...

Also a note: If you're shooting heavy loads (i.e. 250gr) you may get keyholing at around 30 yards in about 1 in 50 shots. I would assume this is due to the above mentioned shallow rifling. Lighter rounds seem to have no problems.

My best friend owns a 3" barrel judge and we shoot it weekly at the range. I have never shot anything living with it, but I can say the accuracy from that thing is quite surprising. 1.5" 5 shot groups at 15 yards with 45 colt. The shot patterns from 410 are nice up to 15-25 or so yards as well. Reco...

Don't quote me on this, but if you aren't adding a steel core or something to the like I don't see how it would be a problem. If you legally obtained loadable bullets and you decide to alter their size or whatever, I don't see how there could be a legal issue there. Although it is the ATF and they t...

Yes unfortunately it is Century. Seems to be a decent one at least. I mean I have the port at its most open and the bolt still locks back once the mag is empty. Bullet diameter on 22 LR is .222" and 5.7 is a .224". That is only 2 thousanths of an inch but it could make for a bad situation if tolerances are tight.
