Re: FS2000 Cocking Handle Replacement Instructions

Is there a reason I can't just drift out the little pin that holds in the front part of the cocking handle and replace that? My cocking handle works, it is just the little extension on the front part that broke off. It looks like I should be able to just drift out the little roll pin, and re-install...

Re: FS2000 Cocking Handle Replacement Instructions

I got almost 200 rounds through my rifle before the cocking handle broke. Another shooter wanted to see what the trigger pull was like, so I said, "sure, go ahead and try it". The cocking handle broke on about the 3rd cycling of the cocking handle. I was babying it so it wouldn't break, but naturall...

Re: FNAR handloading

On 07 April I was doing some load testing and found the following load to shoot extremely well: 168 grain Nosler custom competition BTHP LC77 brass with primer pockets uniformed, and flash holes deburred Federa 210M primers 42.5 grains of Varget C.O.A.L. 2.810 This load shot well under one inch at 2...

Re: Seeking advice for new rifle

Many years ago, one of the initial writers about SHTF scenarios suggested that people looking for SHTF weapons consider a few things: 1. What are your odds of surviving a large number of gunfights in the post apocalypse world? 2. If the average gunfight takes between 3 to 30 rounds (depending on you...

Re: FS 2000 Trigger Pull

The plastic parts in the trigger pack are already about as smooth as they can be. Attempts to polish plastic parts will only increase friction as polishing will add scratches to surfaces that used to be smooth. The lube will help though. The trigger pack on the FS2000 is much like the Steyr Aug. I w...

Re: FNAR cleaning question

I just found an excellent video on Youtube that explains how to remove, and replace the bolt, bolt carrier, and sleeve. Enter "FNAR bolt removal" on Youtube and you can see the video. It is far less complicated than I thought it would be. I just received my FNAR, and so far it is a really neat rifle...

FNAR cleaning question

From what I can tell, there is no way to remove the bolt from the receiver in order to clean it..The bolt rides inside a bolt carrier that has a sleeve on the top of it. Is there a reasonable way to clean and lubricate this? From what I can see, the best that can be done to clean it is wipe out the ...

Lack of input would suggest that:
1. Nobody owns an FN AR
2. Nobody reloads
3. This is a forum with very little participation

It appears that either:
1. No one has an FNAR
2. No one reloads
3. This is a dead forum...very little participation.

Re: TFM for FN AR

The price of the magazines is a definite negative...but I'm sort of used to howling in pain when buying magazines for a Sako TRG....Holy cow, dealer price is $140.00 for a 10 round mag, so at "only" $80-$90 for a 20 rounder, I feel like these magazines are much cheaper than the Sako magazines. I sur...

Re: Holy EFF!!! ACR!!?!?!?!!!!

I'll wait and see when (maybe if) it ever does actually get released, and then see what they are selling for. If they do actually come out, and the early buyers give it good reports based on performance and price (value for the dollar) then I'll consider buying one. Fortunately, I have plenty of oth...

Re: FNAR handloading

C'mon, someone has to have tried some loads for this rifle.. If not the 168 grain bullet, has anyone had any luck with other bullet weights? Everything I have heard indicates that these rifles shoot wonderfully with factory ammo, so it stands to reason that with good handloads tuned to the rifle, th...

FNAR handloading

I will be receiving my FN-AR soon, and wondered if anyone has any recommendations of good handloads with the 168 Sierra Matchking to try?

FN AR

I expect to receive my FN AR any day. Does anyone have experience loading ammo for this rifle, and if so, do you have any pet loads using a 168 grain match bullet?

Re: FN SPR A3G

I also weigh each charge and double check them. One of the biggest factors I have found to improve accuracy is by checking each round for runout. Any rounds with .0005 runout or less have much better accuracy. Rounds with .002 runout shoot 1 inch at 100 yards, the .0005 runout shoots .3 to .4 inches...

Trade pending with n16ht5. Should complete the deal within a week to 10 days. We are trying to arrange the trade with an FFL in his state. The holidays are only causing a bit of a delay.

TRADED 5.7x28 pistol for AR-15 TRADED

I have a 5.7x28 pistol that has never been carried, and has been fired 200-300 rounds. It has been stored in the factory box, and everything that came with the pistol is still in the box. Also included is a right hand strong side hip carry holster, plain black leather. The pistol is in imaculate con...

Re: FAL accuracy question

I agree that reliable is the primary thing for a firearm used as a weapon. For a firearm used ONLY as a match rifle (basically a toy) accuracy becomes very important, but I would NEVER say that accuracy is more important than reliability in either case.

Re: FAL accuracy question

Sure looks neat. Now if it would only shoot minute of angle, of course smaller groups are better. But minute of angle with complete reliability beats half minute and half reliable any day. Although only accurate rifles are interesting, I fear that unreliable rifles may just get you killed in a milit...
