Re: Military Regualtions on Personally Owned Firearms

As far as carring FMJ Ball ammo I don't know what the Army does but in the Air Force us Security Forces members carry hollowpoints for L/E use and FMJ for deployed use.

Talk to Promoted Pawn about getting the lense taken care of. I'd like to see some pictures of what's happening, mine is fine... for now.

Re: P90 internal laser

Promoted Pawn does a conversion service. If I were to do it I would have to buy a couple of empty stocks first then drill the holes and just swap them out depending on the condition of the buyers stock. To do this right takes lots of patience and nerves. You only get one chance. I defently would not...

Re: P90 internal laser

I got the laser installed and it is not a job for the faint of heart... Those big holes are impossible to drill with a large drill bit because the bit catches the plastic and drifts. I had to stop what I was doing a wait a few days to get in a new drill bit. The solution is to use a Uni-Bit. This bi...

Does anyone know which issue of SAR that info from the ATF was in? I have an extensive collection of back issues and I'd like to read that artical and have it for reference.

I have some mags that I loaded years ago and the brass is fine. I may be a little paranoid but I'm not worried about it enuff to put on gloves when I load my mags.

Re: Good deal on a Gemtech 5.7 suppressor

The HK USP Tactical 45, the same gun the can was designed for. Extensive testing has demonstrated that a recoil booster is not necessary for many host firearms, including the 1911, Smith & Wesson M&P45, and the majority of the difficult to cycle full-sized HK USP Tactical. At extra cost the Blacksid...

Re: Good deal on a Gemtech 5.7 suppressor

I'd personally stay away from Gem Tech. I have one of thier Blacksides and am not too happy with it or the customer service. It will not run. The newer versions have a booster but they want over $150 to fix mine by retrofitting it. But some people have had good luck with them.

Good thing we're in the lounge, and that we have a POLITICS section also available and DEDICATED for discussions, eh? Which is why I didn't complain about it. I only brough it up to point out how divisive such talks can be. Plus I knew what I was getting into when I went into the lounge :thumb: As ...

I remember when you could get good deals at gun shows. Now the prices are crazy and you have to pay for admission to get in.

Re: Subsonic Loads

This would be for a SBR PS90 so the 10.4" barrel with a can attached. Thanks. I must have missed that one. I know that True Blue has been mentioned, and also it has been inciunated that low charges of this are bad. I'm thinking that somebody may have had some detonation due to a low charge. I'll hav...

Subsonic Loads

I've spent hours going over various threads and I've gotten mixed info from them so here is my question... I even upgraded my membership so I could get access to more threads but I still have this question?

What is a safe and reliable load for 55gr Subsonics.

Re: I Plan on relaoding some subsonic this week

Be very careful. Personally I would not go down the path of lighter TB loads. All I am going to say.
Detonation from from undercharged loads?

What is a powder for 55gr subsonics that still fills the case above 50%??

Does'nt Hornady's trim die serve the same purpose? I have one and it's a little tight. The rounds do not drop in like my other case gauges but it works.

Re: P90 internal laser

I'll see if I can get some more detailed pics of the parts on Friday. I'd do it sooner but I'm working two jobs and have little time right now. In summary after looking at the parts I bet that I could do it better and maybe cheaper. There really just isn't a whole lot to it. The most complex part is...

Re: P90 internal laser

Got the laser in today. It will problely take me a few weeks to get it installed. I have to figure out if I want the battery in the stock or the grip and have to get the right bits for the holes. Does anybody know the sizes that I need? I have a dial caliper that I can use if I have too but I'd rath...
