Re: 5.7 suppression

I realize that I am jumping in to this thread a year and a half late, but I have a question based on my recent experience with my SBR’d PS90. I installed a couple of different SilencerCo suppressors on my rifle and found one that balanced suppression with size and handling qualities. I went to the r...

Re: SCAR 17S @ 50 yards

Here is a write up on the aluminum stock latch on this thread: http://fnforum.net/forums/fn-scar-16s/27474-tango-down-buttstock-latch-worth.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; You can also buy a stock stopper which locks the stock to keep it from folding (making it California complia...

Re: SCAR 17S @ 50 yards

I finally got to shoot a scar I really loved everything but the folding stock... Just can't trust it. Why can't you trust the folding stock? I understand your concern about the folding stock...fortunately there is a solution available: http://tangodown.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=140" onc...

Re: Dillon 650 reloading

I would also be interested providing you can figure out a way for all of the 650 functions/stages to work consistently and with a high degree of accuracy. I am currently using a 550 but would love to have the case feeder and auto index features of the 650.

Re: Five-seveN offered with black controls

I believe that their current OD and FDE version come with black controls from the factory. Would it be possible to purchase those parts separately (perhaps in a GB) and swap them out? Perhaps if the right person or well respected company president was to do it for us (pinging Jay :) ) He just might ...

Re: Anyone see the Lee Bulge Buster kit?

The system was designed to "iron out" the bulge left near the case rim when firing certain not fully supported cartridge cases in certain pistols i.e. 40SW in a Glock. The reworked cases will feed properly when they go through the process, HOWEVER< in high pressure rounds there is always the possibi...

Anyone doing competent trigger work on the PS90 ?

I know the bull pup design does not lend itself to excellent trigger feel. I am used to nice crisp triggers on all of my weapons, even if I have to change the trigger group with aftermarket (usually Timney) units or have my gunsmith tweak them when possible. The PS90 just feels a bit toylike in oper...

Re: not having good luck with my shellholder

I think welding up the slot in the die is a bit on the extreme side. I have never heard of anyone having to do that. The most i have had to do to alter a shellholder was tyo relieve the bottom a bit so it would fit different ram arms on different brands of presses. I would contact the die manufactur...

He should have preempted firing that gun with "Hey everybody, watch this"!

Unbelievable video!

And the dummy goes on smoking a cigarette afterwards, too. :p

These meth lab "technicians" are starting to get pretty serious about their personal protection, eh?

Always bring a squib rod with you to the range, just for these little "accidents".
Could have been worse, a double charged case would have also ruined your day!

Feb 2010 isssue of Combat Handguns magazine

I happened to catch the cover of the current Combat Handguns magazine on a magazine rack at Cabela's today. While I don't subscribe to this magazine ( mostly Handloader, Rifle), I decided to purchase it for the article on the Five Seven that was listed on the cover. It turned out to be a nice write ...

Re: Lacquer coating solution

Extraction issues. More then likely rip a case neck off with the first magazine ran through. I just came back from the range with some test loads of 35 grain Vmax bullets and True Blue charges of 6.2 through 6.8 grains. The 6.2 loads were mild and shot well. Stepping up to 6.4 grains and 6.6 grains...

Under my pillow, one in the tube, safety on. No kids, but does a 1 year old Akita count? I highly advise against storing a gun under your pillow. Once I woke up in the morning, went to the bathroom, came back into the bedroom and saw my pistol on the floor about 3 feet down from where my pillow wou...

Re: RCBS Universal Hand Priming tool

Do you think RCBS makes a chuck will fit the 5.7 on the Rotary Case Trimmer-2 Kit. It would go faster and easier than using the die and a file. It wont hold the 5.7 with the three different chucks that came in the set. Elite ammunition makes the correct shell holder for the RCBS Trim Pro case trimm...

Re: New to the Five Seven USG pistol

Not to inject my two cents here, but... I have 3 different .380 ACP pocket pistols. While I generally carry a Ruger LCP with a Crimson Trace in a front pocket holster daily, the Sig P238 is one of the best shooting 380's out there by far. The gun is very similar to a miniature 1911 or a Colt Mustang...
