Putting my FNAR heavy up for sale. I have just over 200 rounds through this rifle. I originally bought it to get back into long-distance shooting but have since discovered that it's not my cup of tea so I'm finding it a new home where it will be used. This rifle is EASILY capable of sub-MOA grouping...

FNP-40 with about 1000 rounds through the pipe. Has 3 10rd mags and 2 14rd mags, all paperwork, gun lock and additional backstrap. It's a decock-only model, there is no safety. There is slight holster wear along one side of the slide, but no other blemishes are present. http://i143.photobucket.com/a...

Beretta USA is threatening to leave Maryland over new gun control proposals, the Washington Post reports, and they would take hundreds of jobs along with them. “Why expand in a place where the people who built the gun couldn’t buy it?” Jeffrey Reh, general counsel for Beretta, asked. http://www.the...

Careful, with his track record that just may happen. Hell, just having my Steyr, SCAR and FsN in such close proximity caused ALL OF THEM to behave erratically. It looks like a superficial casting mark to me, like you said. I'd keep running the pistol and checking it to see if it gets "worse" but I doubt it will.

Re: Scope advice
Really depends on what kind of distance you're looking at shooting. For general shooting a fixed 3x or 4x optic will probably do you fine out to 100yds and maybe beyond depending on how bad your vision is (I share your pain).
As far as what brand to go with, I'll let the glass experts speak on that.

Yeah, that's what burns me, too. It'd be one thing if they pulled it because they believed it to be "unethical", I can kinda understand that as everyone is entitled to their own personal beliefs/opinions, but the fact they specifically said what he was doing was "illegal" proves that they don't know...

The "flinch" is quite common with the FsN platform (especially with those who are already experienced shooters). The recoil impulse and grip mechanics of the FsN are quite different from any other pistol out there and takes practice getting used to. So long as your groupings are consistent, you can ...

Re: Novice shooter: advice starting out
Starting on the NRA website is a good idea. They list all their licensed instructors there and let you contact them to set up any kind of one-on-on training. I tend to shy away from any in-house training that ranges have to offer even if they're NRA-licensed as they're really only in it for your dol...

Short Action Customs. They'll thread the barrel and install a PWS brake for $165. Probably going to send mine off to have them do that soonish.

Push up as in when inserting the fresh mag into the receiver? I've noticed that the mags sometimes won't seat right with the bolt forward. Try locking it back and see if that helps. I don't recall if the mags are user serviceable, I'll take a look when I get home. If they are, check inside for dirt ...

I think I may have the thick pads from my old FNAR. I forgot to include them when I reverted it back to stock and sold it years ago. Well that's good. While the convenience of being able to get my case with the rest of my luggage was nice, I appreciate the extra bit of security of being able to personally collect my case instead of just anybody being able to grab it off the belt.

Good advice here so far. Just make sure to use a TSA approved lock. If you put the hard case in your soft luggage, yes. Otherwise if you're able to check your case by itself use as stout a lock as you want since the TSA cannot legally open the hard case without you present or they possibly get to e...

I have some hard plate fiberglass armor in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 9/16" thicknesses. The 9/16" plates will stop ALL 5.7mm rounds i've tested from a threaded FsN. So far i've tested it against: Protector I (stopped by 1/2" plate), Protector II (stopped by 3/8" plate), SS192 (stopped by 1/2" plate), SS...

General rule of thumb for P90 mags (especially when being used in an AR57) is that FN manufactured ones are best.
Seeing that these are 10 bucks I wager you'll get about 10 bucks' worth of reliability out of them.

I don't get why people always complain about nuggets. I ran a nugget against my friend's SMLE on a dueling tree and after 4 clips I finally won (that last swinger was a jerk) and wasn't sore or bruised. And I'm one skinny mf'er, too.
