aaaaaaand I just stumbled upon a partial answer after looking for a few days ROFL, 20% stiffer, but how will that effect cycle times as well as the ability to use ammo loaded closer to FiveseveN power?

I have been looking at a small bench lathe over at McMasters, decent price anyway, just really small. I am considering shaving off 10 grains off the back then loading them up. My goal would be to make them reliably and fully open from the FsN. From the PS90 it would be gravy.

Hey all,
I am tinkering with my .300 WSM and long heavy bullets just for fun. One thing that isnt fun is blowin up a great rifle, so I am asking if anyone is able to post a Quickload readout for Alliant Reloader 22 with 220 grain SMKs in the .300 WSM.
Thanks,
E

I voted FS 2000. If you want a non-bullpup rifle, just save a buttload and get an M4gery. I got the standard model FS2k, took off the sight shroud, removed the factory optic and tossed on an Eotech XPS 2-2 and 3x FTS. With a 250 meter zero, the lower dot drops right in at 500 just as advertised.

Actually, as for the EFPs (explosively formed projectiles) used in the IEDs, they remain solid. They are only formed into a "bullet" by the explosion and travel over 5000fps and will penetrate roughly the thickness of armor as the origional diameter of the bowl.

allrighty... I actually got home early enough to go test the primers from the FsN. Sorry, still no cronograph. Most likely, I will pick one up this weekend since I got my perdiem finely (only 3.5 months after it was supposed to come lol). Anyway, all 20 rounds fired perfectly. After I eat, I'll uplo...

ok, 20 rounds loaded with once fired brass, wolf small rifle mag primers, 5.8gr 3N38 and 40gr Vmax pulldowns from EA. Saturday, I'll send em down range to see how they fire from the FsN.

That is what makes loading this round interesting. It only takes .1 gr to make a huge difference in pressure. Glad you didn't get hurt and thanks for sharing the info. 3N38 isn't a powder I've used, but I plan to do some testing with it. PS: Even though you were seeing signs of high pressure at 7.9...

Recoil was different, the pop was very distinct and the brass was thrown forward right. Well, what was left of it anyw...

At 7.9 grains, I had some minor denting of the case mouths and deep ejector marks in the case head and minor cratering of the primer. At 8.0, on the first round, I blew the p...
