I have a quick decision to make. After my purchase of the 5.7 (which I thoroughly enjoy), I am in the market for a new handgun. I am looking at the Taurus Judge, the .40 FN, and the .44 Magnum Desert Eagle. I am primarily looking at stopping power, efficiency, and quality. Suggestions? Opinions? -K

I saw this gun at Bass Pro for $499. IS this a good price? This will be my next purchase after the Judge . . .

Bass pro had 50 rounds for $20 of the blue tip ammo (SS197SR) and $20 for the hollow point (SS195LF). I found that the SS195LF is essentially the same as the voluntary banned SS192 (with the exception of LF). If so, then why ban the SS192? User's manuals supplied with the USG still say IOM on it. FN never updated it. I'm not sure why it would refer to it as "prototype". I'd have to look at my manual to see if it also says prototype. +1, maybe they were just trying to say anything to make a sale. Like that guy with the "tactical". :D ...

Hi all, This is my first FN FiveSeven pistol. I purchased it brand new for ~$1k at Ganders and noticed the unusual markings. The SN is right above the rail beginning with 3861XXXXX. Did they make a mistake in selling me the prototype? Is this a rare find? How much is it truly worth in this Obama day...
