Here is part of an ad being run on Sturmgewehr for SS195. Read it and see if you can spot the false tactics and information he is using to sell his ammo.

CUSTOMERS PLEASE BE ADVISED: There is some question as to whether or not future importation of this ammo will be permissible. Certain authorities are now suggesting that not only will this ammunition be restricted, but the firearms such as the USG 5.7 pistol and PS90 semi-auto carbine may be banned from importation in the very near future. Export orders have already been frozen for this specific round and firearm. NOW is the time to purchase additonal quantities of ammunition and/or firearms while they still are available at extremely fair pricing. The unpredictability and current political climate now approaching the firearms industry once again may quickly prove this information as accurate and to the point...but would be too late for the majority of distributors/importers in position to respond in order to bring in adequate supplies. NOW is the time to buy!!

Yep. My favorite part of the ad is, Export orders have already been frozen for this specific round and firearm. FNH does not export either the round or the gun as both are imported from Belgium. Some people will do anything to make a buck. :)

Smacks of actionable, deceptive marketing practices (Consumer Fraud, False Statement in Advertising, etc.), or might that be considered frivilous litigation against a dealer? Having once worked in a gunshop (and seen far worse), such tactics are based upon what I used to call "gunlore."

Oh, I visited a gun store today, heard practically the same announcement....with the pitch to buy as many of the 5.7's and magaines that he had in stock at the time.

Lemme guess; "The answer to all your problems can be supplied for just $34.99 a box, and I happen to have a limited supply to fill your order?"

Nice guy, very helpful at that.
