The Ukulele is easily one of the more difficult stringed instruments to play, and lends itsself primarily to strumming. This guy finger picks it like a concert guitarrist. Quite amazing!

Yeah, hes pretty good. Makes me regret selling all my guitars and equipment.

he's from hawaii, as am i. i've met him several times at shows and all and have some ppl we know/knew in common. lol...my mom even knows him. he's played at several events she's help run. he's a cool guy. very down-to-earth and supposedly the 'next big thing' out of hawaii. he plays other instruments, too.

I dabble with flamenco guitar, and am quite fast with my fingers. He is much faster and looks like he's been classically trained in spanish and flamenco guitar. I wish I had the panache and finger dexterity he has. I hope he does well, I just ordered his CD.

from what i know, he's only had lessons on the ukelele, but has since learned all sorts of other instruments. he's a big hit in hawaii and fairly big in japan, at least now. you'll like his cd.

Another instrument that I've heard that's really tough to play is the steel guitar.

The steel guitar is actually very easy. Its extremely similar to the sitar.

One can simply use a chord chart and play the steel guitar.. Perhaps what you were thinking about was the slide guitar. Thats wacky hard to play.
