I checked the Lee website to see if they had the 5.7 listed. They didn't so I checked here (using the search function). I didn't find anything so I e-mailed Lee and asked them if they had a shell holder for their hand-held Autoprime for the 5.7x28.

Their response:
The shellholder is a number 15 # 90017 and is $2.98 plus $4.00 for shipping and handling.

Looks like it's the same one as 25acp. Has anybody tried this one out?

It might have been talked about a time or two on here already.

There were others where it was brought up, but that's a start. :D

When it comes to the #15 shell holder, the Dremel is your friend! :MM

I not only had to dremel mine, I chucked an empty case in a drill, smeared the head with J-B bore cleaning compound, and used it to open up the slot in the shell holder.

Now it works! :MM I can now prime 5.7 cases and watch TV at the same time. Shame I don't watch much TV anymore, I could catch up on my reloading. :MM

The Hornady version of the hand priming tool uses standard shell holders(same one that goes on the reloading press) it would be a Hornady #37 shell holder.(im likely to buy one just because it uses the standard shellholders.)

Ive got the autoprime from lee as well ...got to go out and find a #16 holder for 7.62x54R
because the big set of 11 holders for the Autoprime dont come with it lol.
(the set dont come with a #15 ether)

Ok I just received a #15 from Midway...it now fits 5.7 brass like a glove , no modifications needed on most recent manufacture...Lee has gotten on the 5.7 ball finally. :)

If you order one that has been gathering dust for 3 years someplace, then you will have to work on it with a file or dremel.

I went looking for a #15 on friday. Two well-stocked stores didn't have it. So I'm off to order it. No matter I guess since I only have about 30 pcs of brass anyhow.

I got the 15 locally for my press, autoprime, and trimmer. the only holder that needed any mod was the trimmer as the opening was not wide enough. $5 in new files and it fits like a glove. :)
