Thanks for the heads up.

Reading the proposed wording, it seems a very much like "Big Brother" ie yearly authorization, compliance checks, etc.

E-mail and telephone calls outgoing.

Thanks,

Hoover

It looks like a carbon copy of California's AWB.

Emails will be sent and phone calls will be made.

Complacency helped the first AWB get passed back in 1994. We must not allow ourselves to be complacent or it could happen again.

I've already told a few of my friends about this bill. Please tell your friends about it too. Again, we must not allow ourselves to be complacent.

For those who don't know what being complacent is, that means basically taking things, such as our freedoms like the right to keep and bear arms, for granted.

I e-mailed it to a few people I know that will call and send e-mails.

Yikes. I don't see this coming to pass in our great commonwealth, but I will send some emails anyhow. Thanks for the heads up.

...

oh, if any of you are really lazy you can use my letter below. Just go to the website listed above, find your legislators by zip code, copy and paste. Easy as that.

Dear _____,

I am a _______ native and I would like to let you know how I feel about house bill 30, the assault weapons ban.
I love this commonwealth because of the personal freedoms and privacy we enjoy.
This bill, if passed, would be a major blow to us firearms enthusiasts and collectors. More importantly, it seems to violate section 8 and certainly section 21 of The Declaration of Rights in the PA constitution.
Please vote against this bill.

Sincerely,

__________

This AWB bill would never appear as a proposition on a public ballot, would it. Since these guys are representing YOU, start a petition to impeach/recall the people listed above, even one of them. Even if they're not re-elected next time, the damage may already be done by then. Get them out now or at least open their eyes to what their constituents feel.

I got a something other than the generic response from Martin Causer.

Thank you for contacting me. I assure you I will not support this bill or any gun control legislation. If you have any additional questions or comments please contact me.

Sincerely,
Martin Causer
