I'm sure you folks have heard it on the news about some of these people who camp out in front of the stores to get a Sony Playstation 3. They need to get a life.

What's even more mind-boggling is some of the prices that some of these people are willing to pay. I've seen an Ebay auction where someone was foolish enough to pay.......believe it or not....... $44,100 for a Playstation 3. That's right, $44,100!!! I could do lot of things with 44 grand, such as buying a brand-new Mustang GT convertible with every option under the sun and have enough money left over to buy a FiveseveN, PS90, and a FS2000, but I'll be danged if I'd spend that kind of money on a video game system.

In a few years, you'll probably be seeing those PS3's selling for anywhere from $200 to $300.

Yeah, there is a guy on this car forum im on that scored 3 PS3s. All of which are now on ebay. Hes looking to make some nice money. For the amount hes prob going to get, i could build my dream rifle, new laptop, and a nice downpayment on a new car.

I agree.

What's even more sickening and pathetic is that a few people were trying to shoot and rob people who've bought the PS3. These games are like a drug to some people.

They were robbing people waiting in line to buy the PS3 of the money they had to buy the thing and shot one who refused to give up his money. One kid who had bought one was beaten and robbed of the PS3 at another location. That is just crazy.

You know our society is in a state of rapid decline when people are willing to physically fight each other in order to get their hands on a glorified toy.

Again, this shows you that some people don't have a life. It's really pathetic when these idiots actually let their lives revolve around a video game system.

In a society where we have enough to live a happy and contentfull life there is a sickening greed for more. People forget the 1930 depression. ww2. all the hardships and pain and suffering that this great nation has been through. I think that the U.S.A. has become the Roman empire in its last legs. It's a ME generation and not a WE generation. It's all about I! There is no pride in being a U.S.A. citizen. Too many people think All the problems of the world are the FAULT of the U.S.A. We are a nation in decline because we have become complacent in our good fortune. We expect it. It has been since the 1960s since we had any real trouble. The NOW generation has never been through ANY discomfort or hardship.
They expect instant gratification or they go WAH WAH WAH!
Just My 2 cents worth but I think I'm right!

I doubt the 44K bid was legit the winning bidder is no longer a registerd ebay user. As for waiting in line to buy the PS3 I though about it. Just to put it up on ebay and making some cash off of it. But I am 32yo and have to go to work, now if I did not have a job.......yeah I would have waited.

:p

I didn't wait in line for it, I didn't pay more than retail for it AND I still got my FS2000 this weekend. :) Do I still have a life or should I sell the PS3?

Funnily enough, the Nintendo Wii launched today and there was none of the silliness of the PS3 fans.

Heh.

My PS90 beats anybody's PS3.

That said. I wish I had a PS3 to hock on Ebay so that I could afford some Class 3 fun.

Hmm maybe this is a Sign of our decline when we put more emphasis on a hunk of plastic and micro chips over each other. This really is turning into a ME ME ME soceity... ( Imagination whats that) quote from my little brothers videogame obsessed friend.

Bah....whats this "we" nonsense?

I dont recall being there.

There are a hell of a lot of good people in America. Don't lose hope over some footage of a bunch of half-wits.

Huh?

I wasn't standing in line, nor will I be.

Nope, I had some dumb kid from the University who was majoring in business stand in line for me..

Yup, that $2,000 profit I made, even after paying him $500 to stand there was a great deal. Thanks to Ebay and some other moron's who can't do math, I was able to buy a years supply of Franziskaner and Guiness..
