Well I worked a gun show this weekend at my local shop. As I had on my P90 t-shirt, my USG and working the counter I was the FN rep for the show.
This is a great event since besides lots of factory reps we have a table full of about every current handgun known to man laid out to be tried by anyone. You handover your ID pic out a gun go to the counter buy a plastic baggy of ammo for a few bucks and take it shooting. Our RO's give you any help you need and even keep fresh targets pre-hung for everyone.

Over 20 folkes tried my USG I was carrying as the real FN rep/distributer didnot make the show. After trying it I sold 2 to people who never heard of it before shooting mine. Pretty good since local economy dictates sale price of 894.00
Also I think at least 4 will return to buy also.

The first guy had small hands like me and was having a hard time justifing purchasing a block since it didnot fit his hand well. I slapped my USG into his hand and it was all over. I sent him packing with a smile and our forum info while his purchase "coolled off"

The other Gentleman could not stand how far off the bolck sites were after he test fired a couple. He wanted a plastic gun with adjustble sites. again I slapped my USG into his hand. He shot it He bought it. He had heard of FN having imigrated from that part of the world years ago but knew nothing of the 5n7.

Another Ladie wanted stopping power, light wieght, fit Her hand AND NO PUNISHING RECOIL. She had just tried a SCa S&W in 38spl and it hurt her hand bad (hell they hurt most everyones even in 38) Now Her and Her son want one.

One of the things I did was stand behind the counter with a full spare mag cartridge end facing away/at customers using it as a pionter. I got alot of WTF is that!?!?!?!?!?!? followed by my offer to try it out on the range. No one declined the offer except one guy whos budy shot it. He stated if he did shoot it he would buy it and be in deep shit when he got home.

All in all a good weekend. Now back to work and back to work on the house rehab

But I do get guns at cost and hand lapped scope mounting by one of the midwest best gunsmiths for 20 bucks and other work usualy for free.

I think I can deal with that

Wrap the flag around your shoulders, Son of the Republic!

You should be comforted in knowing that you assisted many people in receiving instruction for safe and responsible firearms ownership (not to mention aquiring firearms that piss off the libs). I always feel "constitutional" when I assist someone in purchasing a new piece, especially if its their first.
