Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum and considering a purchase of a Five seveN. But considering the amount I like to shoot, as with all my other guns, I'll reload this one too. I see a few are already doing this, and most probably for the same reasons I'm considering doing it.

Which leads me to what is probably the silliest question for this little devil. I don't suppose there is any once fired, or new brass available anywhere. In other words, is everyone reloading their own "purchased ammunition" brass.

If anyone cares to reply to this silly question, I thank you. However, don't flame me too hard......it never hurts to ask. I promise, the next question will have you thinking rather than laughing.

That's good, but holy smokes... once-fired brass that costs more than good 9mm ammo. No wonder the guy with the mop at the range was so eager to keep my lane clear of brass when I shot a 5-7...

But like all of you, I'm getting in on the ground floor, even tho I'm later than all of you. In a few years time, the situation will change considerably. But in the meantime, whether we purchase ammo over the counter, or purchase components to reload, we are dealing with supply and demand.

I'm willing to purchase a few hundred rounds of both loaded ammo and brass at high prices to get me going. However, in a few years that will change. Think of this. We are ultimately going to be the authority on the caliber for some time to come because we had to foresight to see a good thing when we saw it. I just wish I'd known about the 5.7 before now, and am struggling to catch up with you guys.
