Thanks btown! When I left for the Marine's, my mother threw out all my 45's (records not bullets or guns) and my comic book collection. I've been playing some of those songs since I read your thread. Oh! For you "kids" a 45 record was a plastic-like CD with a large hole in the middle of it. Etched on it was music and words to listen to. You listened to them on what device they called a record player. A little later they started putting them on tape and you used a 8-track player to listen to them (but that's another story). Thanks Again!

You know it's great music because a lot of it has been re-recorded many times. I love it when my kids disciover a "new" song and I can play the original for 'em!

Ears, go to the bottom of the link page. There is a link to a Doo-wop site that plays old rock live 24/7 with very few breaks. I keep it playing in the background. :)

Thanks btown, that's neat. I almost missed it. Things are hopping in New York by the PA border. "Bucky" Philips was seen this morning and one K-9 trooper got a couple of rounds off at him, but apparently missed. Hope this ends this weekend. The funeral for the Trooper he killed (shot two others also) is Monday. It would help the family to start a closer to for them. The Trooper who was killed, was married with a 13 month old son. He was also a Marine who served in Iraq and a member of the NY State Trooper EmrgRspTeam.

I've been reading the updates on the web. It sounds like they have him contained in a small area now, so maybe it will end soon. I don't think he will give up, which is just fine by me.

yes, bucky has bee the talk of the town for a while now, bout 45 minutes away is where he is supposed to be, they will have a hard time finding him tho, very woodsy up this way and he is supposed to be an avid outdoorsman, they thought they might have had him at 2am this morning and even fired some shots at him, but they waited 2 long to go into the woods after him.

they thought the "might" have him contained in a few square miles of forest, but that was at 9am this morning. the sad thing is, he has a lot of family and friends that help him out along the way.

CARROLL, N.Y. - A fugitive suspected of shooting three New York state troopers, one fatally, while on the run for more than five months surrendered to police who had cornered him in a cornfield near the Pennsylvania state line on Friday night.
Ralph "Bucky" Phillips walked out with his hands up, ending the state's largest manhunt for the 44-year-old career thief who broke out of a Buffalo-area jail in April, New York State Police Inv. Gary Colon said.

they finally caught him :beat:
