Any opinions on this case? Should FN have continued instead of reaching a X million dollar settlement. From what I have read about this case I think FN didn't do anything wrong. Less-lethal doesn't mean non-lethal in my opinion and accidents can happen. I think it is also strange the city of Boston made a deal with the parents to go after FN. Hmmm. I don't understand it. This makes selling guns a risky business.

Selling guns is always a risky business as long as there are Lawyers in the world. The City went with the parents to take some of the heat off of their butts and try and get some of the five million they had to pay the family back, not very hard to understand that.

Kinda like suing Budweiser when you get clobbered by a drunk- then again common sense is quite uncommon these days.

The backlash of such stunts is eventually you have a hard time finding a gun company willing to sell to your city govt when they need new firearms(who wants sued everytime a felon gets shot by police there)....for example, Ronnie Barrett shut out the whole state of california(will not sell or service any Barrett .50 to a agency there)
