The Walloon government promised at the end of last year to invest 50 million euro's (63 million dollars) in FN while FN Herstal itself would invest another 50 milion euros in future projects. Money will be used to expand operations in Portugal, new technologies, participation in an Italian ammo manufactur (probably Fiocchi) etc...

FN was short on cash last couple of years maybe they now will have the money to do something. No more excuses. ;)

Wallonia is the southern French speaking region of Belgium and currently the owner of FN.

When you raise your hands that fast to surrender, you'd have to drop test them in case of another war. :)

Only those shipped to the US. :D ;) No, I don't see what the language has got to do with. If Napoleon had not been so stupid to sell half of the US to the US people would be speaking French from New Orleans to Quebec. French colonists founded Detroit, Michigan, St. Louis, Missouri, Mobile, Alabama, Biloxi, Mississippi, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and New Orleans, etc...etc... ;)

thats why they went with the composite the metal and the wood took to much damage in the drop tests

Well, the empty space in the stock is for the white flag so you always have one with you if necessary, that is if you didn't drop your rifle when you were fleeing the battlefield. ;)

It does sound better in French. Made in Belgium looks better on a rifle though dan Made in Wallonia. Another reason not to split-up. ;)
