Myself and a couple buddies are building a range on my family farm. We are thinking if we make it 12 feet long and 6-7 feet tall we should be fine. We will be firing anything from .22 to .308 at it. Just wondering if anyone has any experience building a back stop and any problems.

Thanks for the link Rypht. There is a lot of info there and I will have to get to it later.
jzm5, in my post I forgot to say I would be making it out of dirt. Ima goof. The farmer next to us is putting in an irrigation pond and is giving us all the dirt we want. Hopefully we get this done in the next couple weeks. They won't let me shoot my PS90 at the local indoor range so we HAD to do something. Not a big fan of safe queens.
