Well, after about 15,000 rounds (over 3 years), I finally had to clean my G29.

I have been running an unscientific experiment to see how long I could go without cleaning. I took the G29 out and ran another 150 rounds through it this evening. After the first 50, I started to have some failures to feed and some extraction problems.

I broke out the CLP & brush and scrubbed it down a bit. The G29 fired flawlessly for the remaining 75 or so rounds.

So, it looks like I hit it's limit for how much dirt it can take. This puts me towards the 35,000 round count on this gun.

One other thing I have noticed is my front PT sight is getting very dim, almost invisible in total darkness. I guess it's time to replace it. (I have had them on the gun since 1999, so I'm not complaining). I'll probably go with a set of Novaks this time.

So, that's my little report. You can continue on with your regularly scheduled programming.

Yeah, that's pretty much how the underside of the slide on my G29 looked. It was nasty.

dang right thats impressive I love my DSA!!! I dont think it is as accurate as my M4, but man are those things fun to shoot there is just something magical about the .308 and that GLOCK 29 run is impressive. That reliability is why my Glock31(357sig) with an M3 light is what I have in the bedroom in case anything goes Bump in the Night.
