Just got into FarCry on the xbox 360 platform. The P90 is my favorite in the game and wielding two at once dare I say is a blast. My only complaint is there is no option to use the donut sight. It is cool to see a video game involving the P90. The recoil in the game seems realistic although I have only shot my PS90.

Are there anyother games that feature the P90 or FiveSeveN?

dml, which game do you think does the p90 the most justice?

Rypht

no game will do the p90 justice because the laws of computer game balancing mean that it will never be represented correctly. Game designers tweak things so there is a noticable difference between one weapon to another. Unless the P90 is what the game is built around, it'll just be seen as an interim submachine gun until a player can grab an assault that has alot of ammo capacity so naturally, in game balance terms, it must be weak, besides it can use a silencer so it clearly has plenty of advantage, don't want someone being overpowered and undetectable.

Just the way the game industry works... god I hate it. Got " this close to persuing a career in that, but my years of exposure to the "brain trusts" behind the scenes demanded I run away.

I Robot had the FiveseveN, right? (That was a cool flick.)
Where are the Zombie movies with P(S)90 and FiveseveN, they need to make some?
What, some one had to say it.

Missed at least one anime - the original Ghost in the Shell (I think 1996) had the P90 in it, and there is a cool extra on the DVD where the animators, who are Japanese, and who had never fired a weapon before, went to another country specifically to shoot - and they got to shoot a P90.
There have been many comic books that had the P90 in them as well, none that I remember right now.
I want to say that the game Splinter Cell had a suppressed 5.7 in it, but I can't remember that well.

Ghost in the Shell was a derivative based on the P90, but not exactly P90.

Time to go to blockbuster to check that one out.

What was the general story behind that movie anyways?

I have always liked the rainbox 6 games because they were pretty realistic for their time. These were the games that helped me become a gun nut.

Rypht was right on regarding the PS90 in games. I doubt any game designer fully understands the concept of the PDW. They have no idea what 5.7x28mm rounds can do. The P90 gets lumped in with MP5s, MAC-10s, etc.

An aside: I remember the RCP-90 in GoldenEye 007 for Nintendo 64. There was a rumor (might be true trivia, may be an urban myth) that the name was specifically chosen as a reference to the N64's secondary processing chip, which was known as the "Reality CoProcess" in Nintendo marketing hype. Also, the main chip (CPU) of the N64 is clocked at approximately 90MHz. R CP - 90!

In Counter-Strike: Source, the P90 suffers from the skewed game development perspective previously outlined. The Five-seveN is also a wimpy handgun (don't get me started on the left-hand side ejection port  ), and neither firearm defeats the soft body armor or Kevlar helmets that can be bought. But you have to wonder why not when it's probably a safe bet that at least the law enforcement counterterrorist side has access to the restricted armor-piercing SS190 round, if not both teams.

In stark contrast to the Five-seveN, the most powerful handgun in CS:S is a Desert Eagle in .50 AE. I have no idea if the .50 AE goes through Kevlar in real life, but the game's DE can kill in one hit with a headshot, doing enough damage to make a helmet irrelevant. It can, of course, be fired strong-hand-only just as fast and accurately as any other pistol  (I've never shot a DE .50, but I've heard it's a punished that you absolutely cannot afford to limp-wrist). "Balance" is achieved via the lower 7-round magazine capacity & higher purchase price. ...that's why the Five-seveN has to be impotent in their design scheme: it has 20 rounds you can snap off.

Since your accuracy degrades depending upon whether & how fast you are moving in CS:S, one of the most frustrating problems in computer games like it is the "computer" part. Some pseudo-random number generation decides where (within boundaries) your next shot lands, but no piece of software can literally choose a truly random number. So sometimes players get hit streaks that make a junky AK-47 seem like a headshooting machine, and sometimes you can be stopped, crouched, and not able to hit right at your crosshair with any rifle.

Also, there's a .308 bolt-action scoped rifle that's a joke. Because there's a more expensive .338 Lapua Mag rifle that's the ultimate sniper choice. That makes me mad. Heck, writing all this made me realize why I don't play that much anymore :) There are the smaller details too that I haven't seen a game get right, like the fact that no one seems to top off their mags (the Five-seveN starts loaded with 20 rounds, not 21), if you reload in the middle of a mag, you don't lose the remaining rounds that were in it, etc.

It's a sort of 1984, big brother-type story where an oppressive government has outlawed emotion. Christian Bale plays a public servant ;), a professional ass-kicker charged with enforcement. Then a whole bunch of stuff happens, the end.

ive been playing CS since it started out and the ak is one of my best guns, people pray and spray, i have it down to 1 shot bursts....

i doubt you will find a game that really shows what the 5.7x28 can really do

Many/most games sacrifice some degree of realism for "game balance" and "playability"

Its what Prolix and Rips31 said..... I liked it. They use a Martial Arts centered around pistols. P-90 in it for about 5 seconds.

I was at Circuit City a month ago to get Obivian for 360. A older gentleman I would say in his 60's was waiting by the display case where all the new releases are stored. I said I would get someone to open the case since he was waiting for a 360 game ass well.

At first I thought he was gettinga game for his grandson and I would have to do the old recommend this game for your grandson thing. WRONG, this guy was telling me what I should get and how to play this game andthat game and well, he was a hardcore gamer. This guy has xbox 1st gen, xbox 360, PS2, PSP andby the time we got done talking shop I felt he has ESP.

I don't aspire to be in my sixties and try to act younger but, I would not mind to be like this guy and be able to relate to the younger crowd. He did not dress like he was trying to act younger he just had a youthful glow about him. Hard to explain.

Anyways he gave me a couple useful walkthroughs for Ghost Recon "Advanced Warrior".

Splinter Cell is a HUGE FN plugged game, the main character carries an F2000 as a primary and a Five-seveN as a backup, both silenced. Also in multiplayer the "Spies" carry what look to be P90s that fire a tazer like round.
