View Full Version : Your fall-back gun..

What is the ONE gun that you own that you feel 100% safe with and will ALWAYS be the one that you think would be the best weapon for you.
I'm a pretty big AR15 guy, and own my share for sure. But I have a HK91 that has been stolen from me twice and both times found it's way back home to me. And it is one rifle that I will never part with.

Well, I would say my PS90 with green laser sight and and tac light but, for quick response at a moments notice I can't complain with my Colt 45.

I would say that my fall back gun would have to be my Glock in .357 sig - it is the gun I am most comfortable shooting (my first pistol was a Glock 23, and was traded in for the 31 only a couple months ago), it is the handgun that I am second most precise with (I am a better shot w/ my GP100, but that is only under good lighting, as the glock has tritium sights on it), you cannot argue with the efficacy of the round (well, you could, but I think you would be a fool to argue with a 125grain bullet going 1200 FPS), and the overall design of the glock is very low-drag - no hammer to get caught on things (GP100), no safety to forget (Five-Seven, which you do forget when you have trained on revolvers and Glocks) - basically just a slab with a handle.
I would like to say my Five-Seven is my goto gun, but until I can mount low profile night sights on it, and get factory ammo that doesn't shoot four inches low, it is third on the list.

"Fallback gun" (or bugout) is exactly the reason I was so excited when FN announced the PS90. SBRed, it's small enough to truck along (inconspicously and conveniently) with the rest of the luggage, and has a good chance of being with me wherever I am.
Now all I need is for the PS-90 to arrive, to SBR it, and to install the factory P90LV stock and I'll have my money where my mouth is.
Side note: ONE gun is SO artificial... ;)

I have to agree with rips31. I go for the 12ga, then the p220 sig.

Very effective but think of all that messy drywall repair

HK USP Elite 45 with 45rd Pro-Mag drum. It goes bang every time. I use Glaser safety slugs for my home defence... Oh yeah, I also have my SPAS 12 (NFA) and Stryker 12 in close proximity too...

:) I have been Known to rep for VT Kinetics Nothing like ripping off a 100 round burst from a Ultimax MK III Light machine gun with the buttplate held to your chin lol(it really is that controllable)

I love my Five-seveN but if it came down to having only one gun left and it had to be 100% reliable, I'd have to stick with my S&W 681 in 357 Magnum.
I know, it's sacrilege! Please don't banish me from the forums!! :)

The Art of Peace is medicine for a sick world. There is evil and disorder in the world, because people have forgotten that all things emanate from one source. Return to that source and leave behind all self-centered thoughts, petty desires, and anger. Those who are possessed by nothing possess everything. -- Morihei Ueshiba (O'Sensei)
