I have been working with 45gr HPs. These completely fragment in a wet phone book and penetrate over 1000 pages @ not near max velocities. I started with 5gr of Power Pistol @ 1500fps. Now I have some HS6 and haven't looked back. I have some loaded @ 6.4, 6.6, 6.7 grains. I think 6.7 will be about max @ near 2000fps. 2000 FPS is my goal. This produces 400lb. I also think we can make the most powerful round with a 45gr projectile. This will be a good self defense round.

Thanks!

I'd like to see some data when you get these loads dialed in. Sound very promising!

I haven't had much time for testing. It does look very promising. I hope 45gr fmj will be aviable soon. The Barnes solids are just too expensive.

Barns solids are allways sold out.
I also think that 45gr bullets will turn out to be one of the best bullets for the 5.7
Who will make the 45gr FMJ?

No I haven't seen your post. Don't have much time right now. How many do I have to get and how much for 45gr and 40gr? Can he make a specific ogive and size? I want long and skinny coming to a sharp point. I also want a thick jacket. c
Can he jacket aluminum, like the ss192?
